  1. So I live outside of SA, does that mean when I come to SA for holiday I need to get an international bicycle license? Upyours!
  2. I'm with the Farmer chap! This is super ridiculous, If and when the police catch the cyclists that is obeying the law, then fine them and act according to the law. But to just come out and want to ban this and that..........! Come on man, go get a life or some more prozac or something!
  3. Nothing wrong with the Fortuner, especially the latest vehicles. I agree with some of the previous posts, its the drivers that think they can drive this seriously powered SUV like a sedan and then see their arshes. Sorry for that, stick to what the books says and drive it like its a 4X4, which is what it is. Enjoy your TOYOTA! Nothing runs like a TOYOTA!
  4. Amazing, indeed a very brave yound lady! But what an adventure! Well done Jolandie!
  5. I've only been cycling for about 4 months now, MTB only, so I manage 3:30 + rides, but working hard on my fitness. Have some blubber to shake off. So still fairly a newbie. Does this help?
  6. Lets get this going again, I will be in George/Glentana for about two weeks in January!
  7. I'm sure you will find places to ride, if you take the road to Inhambane or towards Bara Lodge, two track road. I'm sure you will be able to ride some there.
  8. Can somebody post or pm me. What POLAR product would compare to the GARMIN EDGE 305 and then the 705? I was set on the 305 but reading through this thread I'm a bit concerned to invest in the 305!
  9. I was going to buy the 305 in Jan, but now dont know whether its such a good idea. From what I've read, the 305 has more nigles than good points. What Polar product would compare with the 305 and also with the 705?
  10. I'm not impressed with Outsurance at all! Used to insure with them, then come claim time. Ag man, what a disaster! It was some time ago, maybe its better now.
  11. I enjoy bot Mi Way MTB and SuperCycling. Maybe they can add and take away certain aspects, but I really do enjoy both shows! If you dont like, then dont watch it!
  12. The fastest thing to do would be to change the tube and go, I agree. But should you have to repair the punture, what would you do?
  13. The fastest thing to do would be to change the tube and go, I agree. But should you have to repair the punture, what would you do?
  14. Lets see what eveybody thinks, when you get a flat/puncture with your bicycle and you elect to repair this right there and then or even later when you get home: Do you deflate your tube completely and then put the glue and then the patch or do you leave your tube inflated and glue and patch like this? And why?
  15. Pics please!!!!!!!!
  16. I dont like riding with my Ipod, single track, etc is ok. But while on the road I like to hear what is coming from behind. Fot all those riding, GOOD LUCK! Enjoy!

    Dogs

Pepper Spray, one wee blast for the head, then get off and give it to the owner also! I get dogs chasing me here in Botswana almost on a daily basis, serious adrenaline rush to try and get away, when I dont have the pepper spray handy!
  19. Just have some respect for the other people around you, and for yourself!
  20. Check the EVENTS and RIDES section.
  21. POPCORN at the ready!
  22. I started about two and a half months ago with MTB, at the moment I stick mostly to tar and some dirt. Just getting my fitness up and also still loosing some unwanted kg's. I spend as much time as possible in the saddle. I ride about 4 times early in the mornings during the week and then Saturday and Sunday I try and do a bigger ride. At the moment I do 20 km plus in the week and try and do a 30 km plus over the weekend. Eat right and spent as much time in the saddle, certainly what I do! Enjoy it!!
  23. It helps just reading this thread! I also used Zyban and it works, but at the end of the day.....Mind over matters! Good luck to everyone, lets kick the habit all the way!
  24. WELL DONE to both parties involved! Definitly put a smile on my face, as somebody said, its refreshing to read this post!
  25. I've stopped for just over a year and sneeky started having a puf here and there the last few weeks. Decided last night that I'm being a complete do...s and First day again today. Wish me luck! And Well done to the other chaps!
