  1. Pity it clashes with the Jock :-(
  2. Mmm.... Like the Gaerne look - so who stocks them in Gauteng (East)?
  3. He sells Gaerne, which is spelled correctly :-) But yes totally butchered the competition!!!
  4. I like the Suplest look, but anyone selling them in JHB? A bit risky for me to buy them over the web from CWC
  5. Nope, really great shoes. I am just looking for more options than white/red/black colours.
  6. Hi hubbers Been riding with Spez shoes (road and MTB) for a number of years and found them to be really great. The wider toe box works perfectly for my slightly wider feet. BUT I am looking for other options What brands offer the same wider options? - pity that Sidi is not one of them :-(
  7. Brave man. Road race on Sat and the Audax on Sunday!!
  8. Now I have this thing in the back of my mind the whole time... It doesn't want to go away. Me thinks a team effort of crazies can pull this off. Way too many Ozzies that are beating us to this!! Now to find the ideal ascent
  9. Thinking about Swartbergpass from the Northern side, which I have done plenty of times. 890 m in 16 km, and to do that 10 times in one go.
  10. 1288 m for 36 km. So climbing that 7 times EISH!!
  11. BTW, there was this very tiny boy and his dad on the 25 km. BRAVE kid. I hope he finished and got a BEEEG medal!!
  12. Ah, thx so I was at/on www.timeme.co.za
  13. A hint to TimeMe: I see you still haven't published the race results. And the numbers were quite low! If the same thing happens after the Kremetart you will have a riot on your hands. So time to get your systems in place to deliver!!!
  14. My race did not happen due to unforeseen circumstances, but I did manage to get in a training ride on the Friday up Agatha Rd. Eish, loooong climbs. Nothing like that on the Eastern side of Jozi. I drove the route in reverse on race day and found the riders on the R528. Willie was already light years ahead. I hope everyone successfully negotiated the potholes and bricks that was littering the road. What a stunning route and the last climb back to the hotel would have been brutal, but awsome. I will be back next year!!
  15. There goes my podium aspirations
  16. See u guys on Sunday!!
  17. Good luck to all. I am sooo jealous!! Enjoy!!
  18. Thx Is the start & finish as per your Strava ride?
  19. Pretty please?
  20. Another Q.... Looking at the profile of the race, this seems in the same difficulty category as Barberton?
  21. Hi guys Daft question where does one enter for the race? Or entries closed already?
  22. Drive down to the Lowveld in Oct and do 3 Towers. You wouldn't be sorry.
  23. You need to buyt tyres and a cassette anyway. Great set of wheels and bullet proof!
