  1. I'm in and around Table Mountain / Kirstenbosch / Greenbelt and occasionally Tokai. Other than that, the usual road rides to around Cape Town.
  2. Is the 8kg with or without carbon wheels?
  3. This is exactly the build I want to do! Thanks for the info!
  4. Endurance bike also has more carbon in the frame for more compliance. I’ve had many bikes, nothing compares to the comfort level of an endurance bike.
  5. For those who have moved to the one bike that does it all, how is your experience going? Have you regretted it and returned to your dual suspension / hardtail? Alternatively, as a weekend warrior, are you finding that you are actually enjoying the experience of riding your bike, without the stress of keeping up with pelotons on the road bike or bombing down mountains with your suspension on your mountain bike?
  6. Maybe you have the wrong "type" of bike. Try an endurance bike with a higher stack height or more relaxed geometry, similar to your mountain bike. Road bike / aero bike frame is less forgiving on your hands and body than the more compliant endurance bike. Tyres also play a role, 28 / 30mm is the sweet spot with lower pressures.
  7. Thanks, I will give a 3rd device a try. Called Ikhambi, they advised they offered the same and its common problem. No technicians to resolve the issue locally and they will offer a discount to replace the unit. Has anyone moved away from Wahoo to another brand because of the issues raised in this tread and what are your experiences? I just don't want to take another Wahoo and have the same issues 5 years later again.
  8. My Kickr Core stopped registering power, cadence and speed, despite the power and bluetooth light being on and maintaining a connection to my Garmin Head Unit and Wahoo app. I was using ERG mode at the time. Garmin and Iphone still pairing with the unit, but still no power, cadence and speed. Anyone else have this issue and how was it resolved?
  9. Surely the banks with their strict FICA requirements and the SAPS easily identify the seller?
  10. Definitely 3, think more about when the car is moving. Your biggest concern is contact between bikes. Nothing worst than arriving at your destination and finding your paint completely rubbed away or some sort of damage at your destination.
  11. Pudo locker is perfect for small items / components.
  12. This is perfect, thank you!
  13. Decided to go through to Hermanus tomorrow morning, which cross country trail(s) would be the best to ride? If there is some gravel to include before or after the trails, even better 👌 Would appreciate any gpx files from Strava to follow if possible, thanks! Fitness level and strength is decent, don’t mind anything around 1000 meters elevation. TIA
  14. On the way to Block House 👌
  15. Well, silence is passive acceptance or agreement with without any objection 🤷‍♂️
  16. We running tubeless, hakuna matata
  17. Dura-Ace 🤣
  18. I guess it becomes more significant when you climb between 1200 - 1800m elevation 🤣
  19. I always found a lighter XC fast rolling 2.2 tyres with decent puncture protection makes the biggest difference on the overall feel of the bike for a first upgrade, more nimble and better rotational weight for climbs. Unless you riding on very technical / rocky single track, go wider tyres with more volume for extra protection for the rims.
