  1. The price depends on the bike as well. It cost me R450 for a hanger for a Cannondale Flash 29er. Hugh rip off, but had to replace it.
  2. Ok, so normal stuff will apply that you would carry at any race/long ride, Like chain breaker, multitool, powerlink, spare tube(or two, even if running tubeless), tyre levers, Bombs, Pump, Tyre patches. Then if you want to be safe take a spare chain, tyre, gear cables, brake pads, Sludge/slime(sealant). This is not to ride with! Its for repairs between the stages. Keep in mind that there will be bike mechanics there if you dont want to take the extra stuff. If you like doing things yourself, take the extras incase. I know last year they also had mechanics ride in the race in order to help guys that get stuck during the race. Hope this helps.
  3. "Muddier than Glastonbury or Woodstock after a monsoon and a hippie stampede, only pigs could be at home in these conditions "
  4. Well there must be a company called "36" that sponsors both.
  5. This is so stupid. How can just 360Life have such bad luck, or is it just down to bad tyre choice?
  6. I doubt it. They have a massive lead.
  7. I recall someone saying that they can have help, but they are not allowed to have their own mechanics there.
  8. They have tech assistance at the water points.
  9. "Team Stockli are off the back of the lead group even though the pace is moderate. Maybe it's illness, like @moritzmilatz"
  10. "BMC rider @moritzmilatz stops at a nearby house, abandoning the race. Not sure why yet."
  11. So did anyone see the highlights last night? They showed that guy that threw his bike into the gate/fence. Turns out its a New Zealander that missed the cut off on Wednesday (Not that being from New Zealand has anything to do with it). He was so hacked off that he just chucked the bike as hard as he could.
  12. Doesn't seem like anyone is in mood to race today. Hopefully things heat up a little closer to the end of the stage.
  13. So I thought of something this morning when I saw this thread. They should make Sauser and Stander use Permatubes. Should level the playing field slightly.
  14. "Miserable morning out on course. Roads muddy + slick. Riders expressions say it all. Not much enthusiasm in the field so far"
  15. "Main field rolls along dusty roads. Morning light paints a picture with plumes billowing behind pack. 1st climb approaches" Lets see if anyone makes a move.
  16. Just get on the waiting list early. Then when entries open enter online and pay your entry asap. We got in last year without any issues.
  17. Ok, so before things get hectic, has anyone been able to figure out the connection between 36One and 360Life yet?
  18. Could be, I forgot about that one.
  19. I thought it was poor form. Definately seems cheesed at them.
  20. Lets hope for another day of good racing. We might see 360Life very close to the podium positions by the end of this stage.
  21. Tomorrow will be another tough day. They might be in second after tomorrows stage.
  22. Evans and George should have that now.
