Ja you can see all over the internet that this is a problem with these devices and Garmin is not helpfull at all.

On my Garmin Edge 130 the charging plug on the unit broke, so unit does not charge. Looking for any old broken Edge that is not in use anymore so that we can do a charging jack transplant. Willing to pay for it.

Best and shortest route at moment is Jhb, Sasol, Heilbron, Petrus Steyn, Reitz Bhm. Travelled it last week. Road is great with only a small section between Sasol and Heilbron with rough (repaired potholes) surface

Received an update this morning. Still in ICU and on ventilator. He is conscious and respond to questions by pressing her hand. Multiple fractures in leg, sternum and neck vertebra. Will have surgery as soon as blood pressure stabilise. Sound like his condition are stabilising but not out of danger as yet.

What Mike said above is actually correct. Just spoken to the guy that rode with him and saw the incident happen. He made a U turn infront of vehicle coming from behind. Currently in ICU and stable but no further update on his condition. 🙏 For a speedy recovery Andy
