  1. I can second Eurosport Player! I installed VPN Unlimited on my MacBook and set it to the UK and then opened the Eurosport Player website, which I then send to my Apple TV via Airplay. I’ve had flawless coverage since the Giro started.
  2. I’ve given up trying to get it to work on my iPad and have it working perfectly on my MacBook’s browser which I am broadcasting to my Apple TV with Airplay.
  3. I’ve tried the above steps and I have a problem. I have installed VPN Unlimited on my iPad and my connection shows the VPN icon. I selected UK South in VPN Unlimited as my region and changed my iPad’s region from South Africa to United Kingdom. However, when I attempt to access the Eurosport Player from the App Store, after tapping on the link on the Eurosport website, I get a message stating that this app is not available in the South African store. It does not give me the option to switch to the UK store. Any ideas as to where I have gone wrong?
  4. I’ve just entered - sounds like a lot of fun!
  5. Here is a video of my entire CTCT ride. I uploaded it earlier in this thread, but I discovered later that the data was not synced to the video, so this is a revised video.

  8. Just did a bit of essential shopping for our trip from Durban to Cape Town next weekend!
  9. OK, so I ordered an ANT+ dongle from Sportsworld and it arrived today, and it works perfectly with Zwift on my MacBook Pro. However, when I tried using the Zwift app on my Apple TV, I discovered that the Apple TV does not work with ANT+ and only works with Bluetooth Smart. The trouble is that all my sensors are only ANT+. I then read DCRainmaker's review of Zwift on the Apple TV, and he said that one can buy an ANT+ to BLE convertor called "CABLE (Connect ANT+ to BLE)". Amazon stocks them but they don't ship to SA, and I can't find any local suppliers that stock that device. Does anyone know where I can order one locally?
  10. I've also received an entry for this year's race, and it will be my first one. The thought of riding 160km is daunting, but I've looked at a few YouTube videos recorded by riders in prior years, and it seems rather flat most of the way, except for the two main climbs at Leith Hill and Box Hill. I'm definitely going to give it a go, as the vibe and the opportunity to ride past all those famous landmarks and finishing in front of Buckingham Palace is a must-do!
  11. It is also on www.racetec.co.za Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Seedings are out. I'm starting in batch 3G at 7.41am.
  13. Whereabouts in the Durban area can I buy an ANT+ dongle and cable? I want to connect from my sensors to my MacBook while using my indoor trainer and Zwift.
  14. What I want to see is a playback, on the Edge, of the course - without actually riding it. I know this can be done on Garmin's car navigators, which is why I was wondering if it can also be done on Garmin's Edge units.
  15. I was wondering if there was a way of simulating a ride of a course on a Garmin Edge 520?
  16. I think I've figured it out. Menu...Settings...Activity Profiles. Select your default profile, and then select Data Screens. Scroll all the way to the bottom, past Screens 1 to 5, past Map and Compass and select Elevation. Enable it and select Totl. Ascent for Field 1 and Elevation for Field 2. After you have imported the course from a GPX file and started the course on the Edge, scroll down to the Elevation page.
  17. I certainly don't have that problem - I have my Garmin Edge 520 set to auto-pause, and my Strava results reflect the pauses as well.
  18. I started in the GL batch at 7.35am and my race came to an unceremonious end after 63km, after I suffered my third puncture of the race! I had used both my spare tubes and bombs, so I had no option but to bail after the third puncture.
