  1. Title says it all ๐Ÿ˜‰
  2. Hi Hubbers Anyone done the MTB routes on Papkuilsfontein in Nieuwoudtville. Specifically looking for GPX files please
  3. Even before Cyclelab took over support. But also since then.
  4. I bought a Silverback Stratos AL3 at the beginning of 2021. Love the bike. Silverback support in SA is really very good. I've had a few issues that were quickly resolved by them without it costing me a cent, even when it possibly should have.
  5. If you're in Cape Town, I can recommend Durasole based in Wynberg. http://www.durasole.co.za/ Cost just over R400 to patch up both shoes as per pics. Probably not the cheapest but their work is excellent in my experience. They were widely recommended by fellow hubbers. Before and after pics below.
  6. Thanks Thanks, will try both of the suggestions
  7. Hi Hubbers Anyone have any suggestions on how or where to fix the torn mesh on my shoes? Or is time for a new pair?
  8. Resolution update: Silverback SA are the bomb!! I sent them a mail asking for advice, received a call from Robert within 10 minutes. Had a quick conversation. Replacement Freehub arrived from them in the post the next day, free of charge. Truly exceptional service!
  9. Thanks, that's a good idea. I'll do that.
  10. No branding on the hubs either ????. The bike is a Silverback Stratos AL3 and the hubs are listed as 'Sealed Bearing Hubs' on their website. Looking at pics online it looks a lot like the DT Swiss hub & freebody
  11. Thanks for the info, I was not aware of that. I've had a look and cannot see any text or serial numbers anywhere on the freehub body.
  12. Hi. Does anyone know where I can buy a set of replacement pawls and spring for a Shimano HG Freehub Body? Ideally locally in Cape Town. Through a combination of stupidity on my part and bad luck (don't ask) I have lost one of the pawls and I really don't want to replace the whole freehub because of one pawl. I've attached a few pics for reference
  13. I'm going to follow this topic if you don't mind. I live in Parklands and am also reluctant to cycle down Sandown/Malibongwe anymore to get to the trails.
  14. Same thing happened to me as well as few years ago. Lost an insulated water bottle a couple of rides in. I haven't lost a single cheap non-insulated water bottle though. Typical.
  15. Water bottle found at Bloemendal 30th March 2021. PM me with a description and I will arrange to get it back to you.
  16. Nope. It can't.
  17. Thanks. But normally how long does that take? From payment to email?
  18. Hi All. How quickly are the annual permits available after you buy them? Can I buy one online now and collect it immediately from my preferred bike shop?
  19. Yes. All sorts of issues for the last few days. Activities not synching, unable to login to the app, constantly being asked for my password after logging in. Today I can access everything on the app except for the Vitality Active Rewards page. So I cant even check my synch status.

  21. I'm really keen on doing the 42Km but what annoys me is that you only start at 9:40! That means that you only finish around 2PM. I might have to do the less challenging 50 Km which starts at 8:10 instead just so that I can get back to family at a reasonable hour. Has anyone done the 50 KM before? I assume its mostly jeep track and gravel roads, not so much fun single-track? The 60 Km is beyond my current fitness level but even that only starts at 9.
  22. Anyone else only do 33 Kms on the 39 route? Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk
  23. I'm almost certain ofโ€‹ the answer, but just want to confirm beyond doubt: I'm signed up for the 76 Km but would prefer to do the 39 Km because of time and (ahem) fitness constraints, I can just start with the 39 can't I? Will I be timed accordingly or do i need to inform them that i am doing the 39? Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk
  24. Thanks for all the replies. I'll pop into Navworld and see what they say. If my only choice is to buy another one, I think I'll bite the bullet and get the new style ones, they are seem a lot less finicky and more reliable.
  25. Ok, let me elaborate: Is it worth paying Rx to fix if it costs Ry to purchase new or used, and the difference between x and y is not that much Cyclewizz got it...
