    I'm almost certain of​ the answer, but just want to confirm beyond doubt: I'm signed up for the 76 Km but would prefer to do the 39 Km because of time and (ahem) fitness constraints, I can just start with the 39 can't I?     Does anyone know if I can change from the long to the short route tomorrow? My road bike is broken and I dont want to do the long route on a mtb

    Thanks for all the replies. I'll pop into Navworld and see what they say. If my only choice is to buy another one, I think I'll bite the bullet and get the new style ones, they are seem a lot less finicky and more reliable.

    Thanks , I'll try that. I also think it's the crank arm taper that's worn. I might have to replace it

    Hi Hubbers. My non-drive side crank arm on my road bike works itself loose after less than 10 Kms. I have tightened the crank bolt properly and even tried loctite. It's a square taper spindle. Any ideas? Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk

    Not much, the last time I rode those trails I did the 10 Km loop and ventured about 3 Km off that loop and my total climbing was 185 meters. So I figure its probably about 150 to 160 meters.

    Night Ride happens on the south side of Bloemendal and D'Aria, starting near the Bon Amis Restaurant. That trail is much easier than the Bloemendaaler/Bloemslang side. The M13 divides the 2 sides

    That second Bloemendaaler switchback was my personal nemesis for a long time, I only recently nailed it! I would also do the WidowMaker chicken run always but nailed that one as well. It's a great feeling when you get past these obstacles that have eluded you for so long..

    I cycled around Lower Tokai for the first time last week and remember thinking how beautiful and serene it was. To think that someone's child lost their life there is beyond comprehension. I pray that the family find the strength to get through this devastating time. Rest in Peace.
