  1. Global warming has really escalated if there is a beach close to Klerksdorp
  2. We just can't win anything at the moment
  3. We have great difficulty in convincing new friends that's he's actually a big softy once you are inside the house. All they see is a very angry set of teeth when they first arrive.
  4. The mutt takes his guarding very seriously. In our previous house he managed to break the cottage pane four times telling people to bugger off. Now we have safety glass fitted and customised burglar bars to stop him lunging at the window. He spends most of his day in this position looking after us
  5. That scene looks very familiar. We always had to remove mattresses from our previous dogs when we went out. Luckily our latest doesn't bother chewing. He has the full roam of the house when we are out. The only downside is all the slobber on the windows as he tells people to carry on walking and don't come to my front door
  6. RIP Bob Willis Imagine Proccie and Willis in the same team running in from the boundary every time they bowl. I recon they would get about 8 overs an hour between them.
  7. You have to spend extra time on their training as they seem a bit "slow" getting it right. And exercise, exercise, exercise or you might come home to a war zone that was once a garden
  8. Is he wearing shoes. Those must be the biggest paws I have ever seen on a dog.
  9. At least he didn't eat a whole blister pack of sleeping pills like my mutt did as a pup. Once the stomach was pumped he was back to his normal Energiser Bunny self.
  10. Best part of yesterday was having no DRS for half the race. Make the drivers earn their overtaking. It was a great scrap with Hulk, fending off Bottas, Vettel and Albon until DRS became available. That was the last time were saw the Hulk.
  11.
  12. My cunning plan was perfectly executed (many times)
  13. I call mine a German Shedder. Constantly sweeping and vacuuming. When you think the house is clean another huge fur ball appears from nowhere. I'm sure they are just toying with me.
  14. It was my first DC as a spectator. I had no idea of the format. I assumed the first team off would be one of the faster teams. So I calculated an approximate finishing time and walked to the finish with the dog. There was no banner, mats or spectators at all. I walked back home and read the rules. So I assumed my finishing time was wrong because of the feeding and neutral zone. So I went back to the finish at 10 and the finish line crew had just arrived. I had a chat to the camera lady who told me the first team was in Montague. Now I'm totally confused. So I went back home again, had a cup of coffee and tried again at 11h30. I knew the distance to the finish from Montague and estimated the fastest team would be arriving that time. 12h55 the first team arrived and it was a mixed team, second team home was a group of six ladies. After the 10th team arrived it just became a blur of teams all over the road. I now understand the concept of the starting times, but as a spectator we are really in the dark as far as who is leading the race.
  15. Mrs just reminded me. 6 today
  16. 1st to cross the line Second was a ladies team The last climb is a bugger
  17. I just rode to the finish to get a decent spot to take some pictures. It's hot out here. Then some lady caused havoc. She is the mother of a bride to be and the wedding is in Montague at 12. Good luck getting there with all the road closures.
  18. and the invasion has begun.................. People with saved legs and funny tan lines all over the place
  19. The FIA have seized Ferrari's fuel system. This should be fun. https://www.grandprix247.com/2019/11/21/fia-seize-ferrari-fuel-system-to-check-for-irregularities/

  24. I wish mine would sleep until 5:30. I get a wet nose in the face around 4 followed by "oh good your awake, now feed me" whine.
  25. You do realise not a lot of F1 cars run V12's
