I stay close by, and it has become more popular the last couple of years. There seem to be always a bunch of cars at the petrol station every Sunday or alternatively, just pich up and ride. You are bound to hook up with a group.

I had the same problem, just riding out in the Magalies mountains in the rocks, and destroyed a couple of tires with side walls rips. Last tire, got a LUST, same thing. The side wall reinforecement must help, but from my experience, it is not worth the extra cash.
