Alu is so old school, legs should have been Carbon.

The problem with a BMX for 8/10 year olds is that the gearing is a bit hard, so a geared bike for a small child is a bbetter.

Depends on the price. I first got a Game special for my 8 year old (think a Dunlop), but he "outgrew" it quickly, not because of size, but of the need for a better MTB. At the monent he has a Scott Voltage, and he loves it. Think you can get them for around 2K.

After seeing what the prices of tyres are, I will be sticking with my back tyre (in the back of the bike) until it is finished.
