  1. Assegai has better traction but higher rolling resistance. (Lower Rolling Speed). Slowing down a bit while cornering should reduce rear washout. Rear Washout is not a very common cause of accidents. Feels Quite Lekker Actually.
  2. You Should Accept the Offer for R24500 it Was a generous Offer.
  3. Yes, I'm the Group Leader, Usually in Front.
  4. Markup Yes, Sometimes (Buy for 15K Sell for 30K) (At the lower end of the market) Not Profit Though because they have Overheads.
  5. The Second Hand Formal Dealers have to have a margin of 40-45% (66-80% markup) in order to pay for Premises, Staff, Interest on Loans, Transport Costs and to make a little profit in the end. The Home Based Small Dealer does not have these Overhead Costs and can pay more for your bike.
  6. You Can't Replace Skills with Tyres. You will be surprised how many Try to do this. Gravel Bike Riders are riding the same trails on (Just About Slicks). If you are falling off also look at these points below. Losing Concentration and not looking about 10 meters ahead. Riding Behind and too close to someone else. Talking K@K and riding. Front Brakes applied while cornering. Front Tyre Pressure too high.
  7. Horses for Courses If you use a Downhill Tyre for Cross Country Marathon Racing you will be the last one to arrive.
  8. I Live in the Transvaal, Mainly Mielie Fields and Such.
  9. Why Would you degrease Tyres ?
  10. All Cervelo bikes are Outsource Manufactured to Factory in China.
  11. The Rand hits 24 to The Pound. It's very bad for the Bike Market and the Economy as a Whole. Could have a Positive Effect on the Second Hand Market.

  13. The Bike Shops are also feeling the pain. Ask Around !
  14. Still Gripping Nicely and Cornering Nicely as Well (K@K in Mud but then the IKON is not very good in Mud even when new.)
  15. I Ride and Ride and I cannot get this IKON Finished (5000 Km has come and gone) WTF ?
  16. Nino runs on Maxxis Aspen (Specially made for him "of course")
  17. The NEW Market is also Struggling.
  18. Local is Lekker and All that BS So they Proclaim South African Bicycles - They are Actually Made In China - With Some Exceptions Why don't they design and manufacture quality local parts Shimano - Sram Compatible reasonably priced. Because They can't !!!!!!!
  19. We Need a New Pitcha.
  20. It should be done often. 100Km is ballpark. I did it properly last week on MTB and After 1 wet ride (35km) had to do it again. Properly Means. Washed Chain with Alcohol. Heat the wax until it just Melts, Add 15% by Volume Paraffin OIL and Beat the 2 together, Put in Chain Wait Until wax starts to set. Remove Chain. Wait 2 hours before reinstalling. It Does Work as Good as Squirt but I don't think that I can Manage the Schlep. The First 10Km you can Actually Feel the Difference.
  21. Explain Yourself
  22. Try About 30 to 40 ml of sealant inside tubes. Buy new Tubes from a Major bike Shop where stock turns around quickly.
  23. The Sealant Goes OFF "vrot" after about a month. That's one of the reasons that it does not seal. It still holds pressure though. Ammonia gets finished through evaporation. Latex Hardens inside the Tyre and what's left is basically water. That's why people who top up monthly have more success.
  24. It works well sometimes and on some tyres, Sometimes not, depends on the compound and conditions. You cannot do this in a hurry.
  25. It's not the Shoes it's the Bike. I Ride a 120 AsWell
