  1. Agreed, I realise now how much I enjoyed the Canis and should have stuck with it.
  2. Yes but the casing of the Ibex is FRC which kind of riding I don't really do.
  3. I sold my wheels together with the tyres. I then decided to give the Barzo a go as a front tyre on my new wheels. After 2 rides I just am not enjoying this tyre, I find it washes out too quickly on loose ground and nearly saw my gat this morning. I had an Onza Canis on my old front wheel and had no problems. I have 3 options: a) Persist with the Barzo b) I have an Ardent Race 2.2 as a spare in my box c) bite the bullet and buy another Canis Suggestions?
  4. Anyone have experience (good or bad) with Ryder tyre sealant? I replaced both my tyres which had this sealant and while cleaning the inner tyres I was surprised at how easy it all came off with a brush and water. My previous experience with other products have been a horrible sticky gum which was almost impossible to take off. My question is, does the Ryder sealant actually plug punctures? I can't tell because I haven't noticed any punctures either because it's working well or I've just been lucky. I have continued using it as I like supporting local as much as possible.
  5. Where can I buy these tyres online or LBS in Jhb area other than Evobikes as they don't have stock?
  6. Since when do you spell Dual "Duel"?
  7. What is the reason for your front being 1.9 and rear 1.8? Should the front not be less than the back or equal? I have my front (Schwalbe 2.25) at 1.5 bar and rear (Crossmark 2.1) at 1.8 and I weigh about 85kg.
  8. I was running a Maxxis Ignitor 2.1 on the front but was not too happy. Changed to a Schwalbe Rocket Ron 2.25 and have found a big improvement. I run a Maxxis Crossmark 2.1 on the back and I find the combo really works well.
  9. Now, if you were on a 26" you would have easily bunny hopped the pavement and still had your rear rim.
  10. No because it also depends on the air pressure you ride with.
  11. The best way is to actually measure 1 full wheel revolution with yout measuring tape.
  12. Yep, I did some testing today. I lose air when I unscrew the pump. It's the pump I got with the fork. Anyone recommend a good pump?

Wow. Any LBS want to take my order? I will put down a deposit.
  14. 8 months
  15. I know the manual says that you need to check your pressures on your forks before every ride but how come when I pump up my forks the previous night I have lost pressure the next morning? Especially on the negative side where I lose upto 20 psi. Is there something wrong with the fork or is this normal?
  16. I weigh 84kg.
  17. I have just upgraded my fork to a Rock Shox SID Team. However, the manual does not show you how to set up the fork and refers you to the website. I cannot find anything on the website related to this. Any one out there who can help?
  18. and then there's the feeling of riding a brand new bike. Nothing like it.
  19. Tough one. Try get a better price for the Merida. I think it's a bit difficult to justify spending more on a 2nd hand bike than a new one.
  20. Does the Merida have disc brakes? If not, then the new Silverback with Linden's unquestionable backup is the way to go.
  21. Imagine that!!!! El Nino2010-01-08 04:22:36
  22. What size steerer should I be looking at for a medium size frame?
  23. Been browsing for a Mtb fork on CRC and came across some good prices for 2009 Rock Shox forks but with cut steerers. Has anyone bought one of these? How do I know if it will fit my bike? Excuse my ignorance, if they are cut then surely they cannot be new. Sorry about the rookie questions.
  24. I am wanting to buy some bike stuff from CRC. Can anyone tell me what percentage duties are to be paid to the Post Office on collection.
