  1. You guys and girls know how to build up a race! Super excited [emoji108] Just one problem, I have a first date at 1 and now not too sure what to do [emoji23]
  2. Go look at their financials if you are really interested. Maybe on their websites, otherwise email them [emoji106]
  3. Cool! And I assume late entries from 25 April and not 5 April?
  4. Morning hubbers! What do you think about these small improvements the teams are trying? I have mixed feelings. Sky example below, but have seen others as well. Team Sky test automatic rear suspension system ahead of Paris-Roubaix | https://t.co/sSZ71gWBr4 https://t.co/fsEpRylyK5
  5. Hi guys! Please help me to understand. Using this example, https://www.bikehub.co.za/classifieds/240884-chinese-colnago-c60-frame-medium-large/ It's one thing selling chinese frames and bikes, but doesn't it become a problem if you say and brand it as the original?
  6. John was in the front group of 14. But if you can, watch from 22km to go. They kind of started playing/going slower and that is when jens kuikeliere attacked which split the group. Greg, niki and soren was with jens and then peter rode across! John and the rest couldn't bridge with the jens and greg going super hard.
  7. Yeah and look at the few kilometres before that split. It was only greg, jens and peter working in front and when they fell back niki would open a gap for them to slot in, with soren behind niki. Then peter forced him them through. Kind of stupid from niki as peter said. But having said that, greg and jens were still rolling so I think peter should've continued.
  8. At first there was som correlation, but now it seems to be more causation! Can you please not enter next year. Even better, go ride in Gauteng that weekend! And yes I'm joking [emoji12] Next year will be great. If yes I'll quote this. If not, I will edit it [emoji41]
  9. Ooh I think women staying away is going to be closer than people think. I wouldn't bet either way. At least they are trying something. I hope it works!
  10. Slight hijack, but the bike actually looks quite retro and cool [emoji106] Did you know that today is international fanny pack day?!
  11. Not sure if the junior part is correct, but imagine, if a junior wins she will win the junior, u23 and elite titles [emoji471] [emoji471] [emoji471] BOOM
  12. Hijack, but checked the CSA website for something today and saw our photo from probably 5/6 years ago. Can you guess where?
  13. I still think it would be cool to have all the racing cats go off at 15h or thereabouts. The ladies can be after the masters. Nobody catches anybody. And there will be more crowd support. Edit: You can even make it a better pro/elite race by throwing in another 30/40km at the start for them.
  14. Cool thanks. And any thoughts on the junior ladies still racing the full distance in the seeded groups?
  15. Will try to find the meezo needle in the haystack! What clothes and bike?
  16. 2D, but falling back to 2G to ride with my two brothers. Will probably not get that opportunity again And you?
  17. I read on Facebook that the junior ladies will still ride in the seeded bunches somewhere. Do you guys know where the junior men ride? That's the problem with hasty decisions, you don't think of everything. If the information above is correct the elite ladies will race 80km while junior ladies will ride 110km? Edit: Just wondering and not saying the elite ladies race should not go ahead from Glencairn.
  18. If I were you I would stay in bed for the next two days. Take it easy. The only thing tablets will do is maybe make you feel better, but not make you better. The problem with feeling better is then you go do things, maybe even ride your bike, but your body is not actually better and you end up doing more bad than good.
  19. Agreed. Highly unlikely they will be caught. Out of interest, SA champs was 128.7km and Dalton won in 3h53m37s giving an average of 33km/h. But of course, the Cycle Tour will be much shorter, cooler (SA champs only started at 10h15) and bigger bunch. I am happy they have found a spot to completely do their own race. Only negative is the very late notification.
  20. Each to his own, but it was like the hotel california for me. You can try to check out, but you can never leave [emoji12] At least the cold beers were good, and the hudson's burger and more beer afterwards.
  21. "There was just too much wind to race safely and we would have taken a huge risk even trying,” Vegni explained to the media waiting for news at the stadium. “Weather forecasts expected another increase in the strength of the wind in the afternoon, with a wind at 35 knots, which is around 65km/h. Gusts were also likely and that would have been far too risky for the riders, and it could have caused a lot of crashes. At the #togh they already pondered whether to not start, but started and then after the first crash they stopped the race. They might've been blown off Bains Kloof [emoji33]
  22. It seems it ends just as quickly, @tourofgoodhope commissares stop the race due to high winds, & unsafe traffic conditions on the route https://t.co/D397y8Y2VW
