  1. Hi lexx Kodi works well as a stand alone. for my Plex I was using my xbox which is a Client only, and you need a server to run it, and you cannot run a low powered computer such as a PI as a Plex Server. My current set for Kodi is as Follows, 1 Raspberry Pi connected to TV as my TV box, using Spekto Fork app to stream (found it works better than Exodus). and another Raspberry Pi as a headless media server that handles my downloads using Transmission and Sonarr as my media management app, however you do not need an extra PC/Server to run Kodi..
  2. I Have Kodi... Love It, Tried Plex... For My Set-up I Needed two Devices Just to run it... Couldnt get the channels to work.... went back to Kodi..Cheaper Simpler, And it Just Works...

  7. Hi TrailRat Ihave a system based around Sonarr, works well, however sonarr is just for Series, the the best equivalent program of movies is couch-potato, both run well on my system, but I also use stuff like Specto-fork and film-on for watching sports and streaming series/movies I don't have, the 2 systems complement each other nicely,

  15. basically get the repository or download source page.. Kodi's version of the app store.. except you can have multiple app stores.. then find and install FTV or FilmOn-TV app which lets you watch Live Tv, also Download the FTV - Guide.. Lets you see what showing when.. kind like DSTV's channel Guide.. FTV is Useless without it.
