  1. Thats probably because in an event like Ironman your body needs all the food it can get and recycles your turd. So it sucks it back in and re-processes it.
  2. Whaaat? I have never crapped during a race. I tend to find that a Gu gels is as good as an immodium.
  3. I hope so Blindspot! I am however looking forward to racing on those 1st world roads. We are riding on the F1 course as well!
  4. Well I will then just have to re-allign my nutrition to cater for my one piece suit then.... I will do the whole race on 2 waterbottles. If its a coolish day I will have to cut it down to one
  5. True
  6. Cool Well I have realised that if you cycle enough then the size of the shammy doesnt matter. I have done a few olympic distances in a running short without a shammy at all and I was ok. The Garf has balls of steel.
  7. So any hubbers entered? I booked flights, entry and hotels. Myself and the Mrs are going. Doing the 3km swim, 200km bike and 20km run. I have also started doing extended sauna sessions to ensure we are prepared for the desert. Looking so forward to this!
  8. http://www.fluidlines.co.za/enduro.html What do you guys think? Lekker suit for Ironman?? Any idea what it costs?
  9. More stuff to buy What does those TT wheels cost? DT56 & C85? Combo special for the Garf
  10. This will not end well
  11. Cool! We will see you all there! Who cares about a bit of rain in anycase....
  12. Maar dan moet jy ook in ag neem dat "mongoose!" so vinnig ry party mense noem hom `n bondel op sy eie!
  13. Dit wil voorkom ons so tussen 6 en 10 gaan wees afhangend.............
  14. Hey Mongoose! Can we not organise a bus?
  15. N1 southbound take nelaon mandela offramp and turn right over the N1. Drive about 1.5km and on the left is a total garage (accross from a fruit and veg).
  16. Good day hubbers in Bloemfontein and surrounding areas.............. This Saturday morning we will embark on an epic cycling journey to Dealesville and back. Support vehicle arranged . Average speed should be around 30km/hour roughly. Vehicle will stay behind the slowest rider and then upon reaching Dealesville everyone will wait for each other, refill and return. The slower riders (like me ) might even get a head start from there. The vehicle will have a bike rack on it for emergencies etc. Everyone for himself in terms of what you want out of the training. Some riders will be a “base training bunch ”, others will do Time trialling. The idea is to have a safe 6 hour ride. Upon return to Langenhoven Park those interested can fill up one last time and head out again to Abrahamskraal/Woodlands to clock a total for the day of 160km+ . Buy in is R60 w hich goes towards the driver for petrol and effort. You can bring whatever you want with and put it in the car. Should we be a larger number of riders we will reduce the price accordingly as this is not a moneymaking excercisehttps://assets.bikehub.co.za/public/emoticons/ph34r.png . Anyone interested please PM me or the Mongoose! We will start at the TOTAL Garage Langenhoven Park 05h30 AM sharp.......
  17. TT Bike.
  18. Bottom line is that they are dropping 2 x first choice front line bowlers so I cant really see them being more dangerous all of a sudden. Auz dont have all this quota bull***t so they normally choose their best team upfront. I just think that if we can bat first and not lose many wickets in the first 2 cessions than the Auz heads will drop quickly...... And if Rudolph pays I hope they ask him to be aggressive. It irritates me endlessly to see him being forced to block the whole time when he is a natural attacking and destructive batsmen. If Rudolph scores a 400bla century he will still be dropped. He needs a run a ball 150. SOmething that makes people really sit up and ask who is this guy..................
  19. Cool. Well I do have the 30mm section wheels and they will be in the "needs zone" should the wind change... Also I weight 85kg so I should be OK. Also dont remember that the Garf handles a bike better than Greg Minnaar..........
  20. Ironman I already have my stock wheels with the Felt B12 which does have deepish sections so these will give me more variety. I can combine them in need.
  21. Thx buddy
  22. Hi all I am looking to buy a set of generic (no name Chinese) carbon clinchers 88mm or 85mm. 2 Questions... In general are they OK? If I want to have some art done on them..... will stickers work or must I get a paint job done on them?
  23. You do realise that the Garf ran the Otter trail run 5 weeks ago? The Garf is a freaken induro monster. The Garf runs barefoot on coral reef. As he said in the Lorax... You have been WARNED!!!
