  1. I hate it when real life gets in the way of running. I’m traveling for the next two weeks, currently in Frankfort and then off to Kazakhstan . I’ll definitely be well tapered come 10June :-) Seeing my running mates on Strava sets about FOMO in a bad way
  2. I ran the cradle loop on Sunday morning. I started at 5:30. I had a banana in my camel back that I wanted to eat halfway but I couldn’t because it froze
  3. At his pace about 10h At my pace 20h 10km short of a 100 miles :-) Edit : I just checked he did it 12h07m
  4. Thanks Lexx Hope you recover well for yoursr Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I did the RAC long run today. Im still recovering from the flu so it was proper hard. Had a few harsh words with myself along the way. I went slow but I think that made it even harder in some respects as the kilometers takes forever to tick over.
  6. Condolences
  7. Good luck. I was also sick two weeks ago. Still a bit blocked up but at least I can run . Running mates recon I look like a wildebeest with all the snot, sweat , blood and tears not a pretty sight. Rather get it now and get over it than in 40days from now
  8. And congrats to you on a decent Loskop time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Massive week. 80km and I barely made it onto the list
  10. I see some impressive Loskop times !! I checked the route profile and it doesn't look flat. Well done guys Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. I had to cut my long run short with an Uber today. Wife and kid both sick, thought I'll be ok but 10km in I realised that running was a bad idea as I also now had it :-( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Serious FOMO for Loskop but I’m already pushing my luck with the wife and running
  13. Just to add to the Irene run . One section is an out and back to fountains which gave us normal folk an opportunity to see the super humans in action. The leader was probably 1km ahead of the second runner and the guys in the following packs made running looks so easy and comfortable. Another inspiration is a guy that I see at all the races completing marathons and ultras with only one leg on crutches. I usually only overtake him close the halfway mark Then there’s the old toppies with the 65 and higher labels on their backs outrunning many fit young men half their age.
  14. I had a great run at Irene this morning. With a sick kid at home and little sleep I decided to just keep to 6min/km After a slow very crowded and dark start I actually felt very strong. At the 10km mark a friend from our running group caught up to me after he also started late. He is 3h marathoner but was planning to take it easy . I kept up with him and then I started doing the maths that if can keep up the pace I should be able to do a 4:24 for a C comrades seeding. I gave my all my but missed it with 5min. But I’m still extremely pleased
  15. I will be on a 1000km end of this week. Aim is 10:30 Comrades time.
  16. Good luck to all Two Oceans runners !!

  19. My first week this year not making the list. I pulled something in my groin on Tuesday . Went for a slow run yesterday but it's still there :-( It's at a place where going to a physio it might get uncomfortable for everyone in the room
