  7. Yes I think the timing had everyone confused. The announcer stated mat to mat timing. But everywhere else it states that Comrades qualifying is strictly gun to mat timing?
  8. Sub 2 on that route is a sub 1:45 everywhere else. Well done. I got a lekker t-shirt tan on the second lap.
  9. I did the PnP marathon yesterday. First moan: They had a honesty seeding system for the race. Basically four boards with expected race times. I fell in behind the 4 hour board. 5 minutes before the start the 4h bus driver comes pushing past everyone. I ask him where he is going as all the 4 hour runners should behind the 4h board. He basically told me to **** off and they can catch up. I saw his little flag end up just behind the elites. I took me 5km into the race before I was able to run a straight line, the first 5km was dodging walkers. Honesty seeding in RSA - get real people, from now on Ill join the selfish assholes and line up in the front. Second moan - Vitality Running Club The biggest mistake I made was not joining my local running club but Vitality running club instead in an effort to save a buck or two. Worst club ever. Every race I RSVP for the tent, every time I get to the tent the 21km runners and non-RSVP members have eaten everything. You never get a spot under the tent – just too many members. Yesterday I get there, they have fridge full of food. I ask for a sandwich. No sir those are for Halaal members who RSVP`ed – But I RSVP sorry sir nothing left for you only Halaal members . I used to run for Sunninghill, it was awesome we all knew each other support at races were amazing, really miss the comrade. I can`t wait for next year to join a proper running club again. I wish I didn’t have to running with Vitality colors at Comrades this year.
  10. Impressive running by some. Amazing that we have a lady runner currently in the lead. And she is running at a good pace as well.
  11. For Comrades folks I need some advice. Some familiy of my wife offered their holiday flat to us for the week of Comrades. The only problem is that the flat is in Balito. Any ideas how I can get to PMB ? Uber ? I heard there are shuttle services from Umhlanga ?
  12. I have a running belt with a red cycling light on the back and a Led lenser headlamp in the front Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. She overtook me as well. I assume she also started right at back due to the crowded starting line. The baby was fast asleep when the came past.
  14. I only noticed now. I think we have the first lady in the top 10 high mileage Strava group at over 89 km.
  15. Thanks Seabee Aimed for sub 4. Finished in 3h58m I had a long talk with myself from 36km. I totally forgot about the pain
  16. What a strange sight. Since I got the new watch last year it's always been two up green arrows. Tapering a but this week for Sundays marathon has changed it a bit. And the race predictor .....only in my dreams
  17. What a nice run in the rain this morning for the Gauteng runners. Hopefully my shoes will dry out before tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Shortest qualifying race is a marathon For a marathon: Starts at sub 3:00 for A. Ten for every twenty minutes above that the next batch up to D. So B sub 3h20 C Sub 3h40 D Sub 4h Then E is reserved for the crazies F sub 4:20 G Sub 4:40 And H sub 5h
  19. Which race are you doing ? I’m in for Johnson’s Crane. Hopefully a D seeding time.
  20. Wow 50km for this week wouldn’t even put one the top 10 list
