  1. Nice run Mudsimus I did my first cradle run this morning , nice slow 32km as my comrades qualifier is next weekend I have to say all the cyclists were super friendly in the cradle this morning
  2. I managed a sub 2 on the Dischem Sunday . I don’t understand why people go stand in the front only to start walking at the 3km marker. Took it very easy as I’m scared of a injury because I’m still building a base. I’m doing the Johnson Crane marathon end of this month as a comrades qualifier Hoping for a sub 4 but doubting myself a bit
  3. Well done to the top four. Serious miles that
  4. The hard part is just getting someone willing to give up an entry in order to do a substitution
  5. Strongs man. That's a real *** one.
  6. Nope
  7. I'll post it on Mondays if I see I did well in that week
  8. There is quite a few guys looking for Om die dam entries. Hopefully closer to the time we will have more luck
  9. If I put in a long run tomorrow I can make it to the top 3 for the last week of 2017 on the HUB Strava group.
  10. NoMoreLady I have to agree with two of Grumpyoldguys comments. Don't be to proud to go see a Psychologist. Even if it's just for one session. Its good to get it all out. Nothing but time can heal what feel like it's broken inside you at the moment. It's going to take a lot of time. Embrace your new freedom. Your biggest enemy is going to be lonelyness. Surround yourself with people whenever you get the opportunity. Your soon to be ex wife has moved on a long time ago. Accept this. Break all communication with her only discuss what has to be discussed nothing else. Someone told me this too will pass. And although it feels like your whole world has come to and end you have no idea what's around the next corner. Good luck
  11. *** one. Best is to go see a laywer together if you both can agree to everything from
  12. Its said to be the tuffest one :-) Usually around 650 runners and 1000 in peak times. If you can manage 24min you will be in the top 25 so not crowed
  13. Congrats Hayley. What an amazing ride you are in for....
  14. How many Parkrunners here and what times are you guys running? I have done about 7 now. I usually attend the Golden Harvest Parkrun where I always miss the sub 25min mark. My aim is to get under 25min before the end of the year .....
  15. I'm a 100kg runner and get about 1000km with NB The old pair above is used exclusively for parkrun Golden harvest parkrun is harde grondpad en modder

  19. Can anyone advice on the best way to try and get an Om die Dam 50 km entry, best place so ask or were to place an advert ?
  20. Well done on the sub 3 Shaper. Not easy on that race
  21. RAC Tuff one. Firstly the JMPD did an amazing job at the road closures. They were all very friendly as well , a real breath of fresh air . The race was tuff. I definitely forgot how hard running can get. I had to dig a little at the end when it started to hurt. I can't believe the numbers at the Gauteng races . I don't know if it is Parkrun that is getting so many people on the road but today the road was full for the entire race in the 3h30m pace runners group
  22. Seems like some pretty good weather for running tomorrow in Randburg. I do forsee parking issues at the RAC race so I'm going to try a go early. I also hope my bakkie doesn't get stolen because it's just behind a Polo on the most wanted list...
