    The 110 is the ideal South Aftican one-bike-to-do-all. Most riders will be more than happy and honestly probably not worry about the compromises if it's to he their only MTB. The stage would be similar if your budget goes there. Start going into niche events and there's better options (even within the PYGA stable).

    Definately the wrong tool for the job. I rode my 110 during J2C. It was fine but it wasn't ideal. For S2C it would be fine. I also rode my 110 during R2R. It worked well but, again, I probably won't do it again on this bike. PYGAs are heavy and don't make ideal marathon bikes. The 110 does a lot of things well but doesn't excel at any one thing either - bike of compromises really. The 140 now focuses on a more specific purpose, making it a great trail/ local enduro bike. But even less of a marathon/ endurance machine. If you're up for punishment - take it on R2R...

    I don't think the problem lies in the technology. More so the administration and implementation thereof... Administration, be it for processing dodgy findings or processing a TUE application just simply takes too long. An athlete cannot wait (read derive zero income for) 60 - 90 days for a TUE confirmation.

    If this is the case then my comment would stand, and refer the period to 2011... I got the impression the 2008 statement was a mere thumb-suck.

    On what grounds?... The timing would be based on the period relevant to the findings, surely... Otherwise you would be punishing/ sentencing the athlete for something one cannot prove. What precedent would that set?...

    If he wasn't there some clean, talented, youngster would've been there - then got exposed to relentless pressure from a team manager and or sponsors and ended up in the same space. It's a perpetual cycle. In all top level sport. I'm not condoning it AT ALL but there's so much more that goes on behind the scenes that the general public is unaware of. The pressures are huge and perhaps I'm unneccessarily cynical (I secretly hope so) but they all dope - they have to, to compete.
