RudoJ, I had the same problem for the most of the first half this year. Ended up with an ENT specialist who sorted me out quickly. I had a chronic sinusitis which turned acute. Would end up with sore throat and glands and then start couching. course of anti-b followed but everytime I would end up with same symptoms again. This happened 5 times from Feb to June this year!! Problem with sinusitis is that course of anti-b clears up acute infection, but does not sort out the chronic sinusitis (allergies or blockage) , so that just turns acute again once effect of anti-b has worn out. Build up of mucus causes infection which spreads to your airways. Mine ended up being a physical blockage of drainage pathways, but a lot of people get away with a sinus rince only. I use a topical cortisone daily. I have been perfectly healthy ever since.............
