  1. So buy quality and you won't have a problem, has my Spez shoes for three years now and still got at least another 2 years. Spend the money if you can
  2. Do you think all people that smoke are incapable of doing sporting activities. How many professional rugby & football players smoke, the answer will be more then you think
  3. Not sure Mavericks is still open, I went past there last weekend and it was shut down. Maybe they have moved.
  4. There is always Hil2Hill coming up and then there is the Trailblazer at the end of the year at Karkloof
  5. Which part of Tokai is techinical, I must have missed it all.
  6. I have to agree, KZN races are your best bet for something more technical.
  7. Its gonna be a loooooong wait then.
  8. There is that scenario, or she is down in Durban with the rest of the Nigerians.
  9. You wonder how things would have panned out if this prize money was for this year, mmmm.
  10. I got this email this morning, I wish the chap involved a speedy recovery. Grant is in intensive care , on oxygen….They operated on his legs last night as they are broken in more than one place last night…expected recovery 16 weeks…..V scary! Grant rides with Bluff Meat supply..He was hit by a car yesterday on Marine Drive at 6.10am. Thanks goodness he is alive…..His friend that he was with..has both knees broken. I think the piece on the left of the bike is the car bumper. I drove past the accident at about 7.00am that morning and saw the car…the front bonnet looked like it has been hit by another car…..At the time I didn’t know that Grant had been hit. There is also a case of a commuter being knocked off his bike in Pinetown in a hit & and run incident. Please be on the lookout for a Green/ Grey Nissan X-Trail with an ND Reg. The incident happened in Pinetown at the intersection of Mountain Ridge Rd and Otto Volek Rd on Mon 4th June
  11. I'm riding with the Nobby Nics 2.25, on both my hardtail & DS and what an awesome tyre. I run the snakeskin versions, so far no probs. Buycle or Easybike seem to have the best prices on these. I use to run MTN King up front.
  12. Exactly this An option that can be used if really needed.
  13. Its OK for me and you that would think about these things, the masses probably don't/ won't, like the people that ride without any spares.
  14. I hear you , but having it as an option is also not the end of the world, and could come in handy if really needed, some people can only afford 1 light, so it can become usefull.
  15. After ten years of commuting in London, I now no longer commute. So if I'm going for a ride on the MTB(in the bush) its always fully charged before, then for road training its all smaller lights that take a duracell battery(not Li-ion)
  16. I need to get a spare battery for night rides on the MTB. I also just plan the night ride, get an hour of daylight before then two hours at night(just to be safe) For road riding I use other smaller Cateye lights, one on the front and two for the rear, both rear lights can stay solid, blink across the 4 LED lights or constant blinking. The front I only use on strobe, also a Cateye light.
  17. Most batteries only last 2 and a half hours(at the most), so there is every chance on that 3 hours ride you will be left with no light.
  18. Gonna go out on another limb here and say when you forgot to charge the battery. Also the previous light I used had three small duracell batteries and saves battery power on flashing function.
  19. Gonna go out on a limb here and say that once in this mode it will flash off the SOS signal.
  20. When you are running out of batteries, it is an option that will still make you visible still. Better for longer rides on the road as well. I only ever used strobe mode while commuting.
