  1. This is pretty much the case here. I must admit, the Scott signage is way out of character for the building and history of the area. Like a quick paste job slapped up in the face of the public. Obscene actually..
  2. Absolutely classic Barhugger!
  3. Looks like there is a stump hidden in the shadows. But you are right, that back wheel is without a doubt faster than the front...
  4. JC crash. Another view.. http://vimeo.com/95858027
  5. Anyone know of the Beagle Freedom Project?
  6. I saw this and googled the company, I was quite amused at how long it took them to develop the DW link Sorry Hairy..
  7. I mean really, what are the chances he breaks out when the media has just started watching Weskoppies.?! One flew over the cuckoo's nest?
  8. http://www.washington.edu/news/files/2013/06/Ant-grabs-chili-seed.jpg Some have suggested Graves was hiding in the bush, but that's ridiculous!!
  9. Out for the rest of the season, shoulder needing surgery.
  10. Wonder if there's anything they don't service?
  11. Yes indeed. A special breed of people reside here! hahahah! I was told last night to remove it from the lounge windowsill.. Ed: just checked, it's still there.. ai ai, I'm gonna get in trouble!!
  12. Gosh thanks but I'm fortunately able to cover the expenses. The prosthesis should be free through the prison in-mate crafts programme, I'm going to ask Oscar to work on some toes.. Correct, only healing taking place now. Suffice to say it is still extremely sensitive so he is really limping around but he looks to make a good recovery - he needs to, he's the OCD Jonty Rhodes of dogs.. you can't even whisper "pinecone", guests soon realise I'm not joking! DJR offered some booties he made from leather a while ago, they are seriously tough and long lasting. I remember them from when he rode with his dog Coco, they protected her feet from the tar. Thanks again Dawid! Oh man, the Hub! Thanks guys!!
  13. Hi Ian, unbelievably he has fought back from severe haemolytic aneamia.. No long term side affects would exist from this condition but with the agressive treatment of a whole cocktail of drugs administered intravenously through his leg, the swelling this caused has resulted in tissue damage which eventually started rotting away.. You wouldn't think he was ever sick apart from the hobbling caused by the loss of the pads and flesh on his two toes. The left foot has also been affected by to a much lesser degree. The skin is growing back quite quickly but some of the dead tissue still remains. I've snipped away as much as he would let me and the area I was really hoping was not affected, as it still had some pad, sadly tore away today when he heard the knock at the door.. (F*&%$£g tree fellers, I can't tell you how many of them knock on my door ) The nail broke away with this piece and by the looks of things, what remained of his toe is now gone. Shame, he's left pulling a permanent zap on his right foot! Thanks for the support guys. My wife can't stomach the details so it helps to tell strangers who care. Juno, pull yourself together and come get your hugs!
  14. Good on you guy! She looks amazing!
  15. If this carries on I'll be showing you my one pet spread over multiple posts.. FFS, that's a full toe gone!!
  16. Agreed! Hawt!
  17. Has there been any mention about what that is extending up from the front brake caliper?
  18. Thanks!
  19. Hi Duncan, there is a link under "Costs" on the front page which can also be found under "Park Details" - http://tokaimtb.co.z...ces/directions/ Costs CYCLISTS: Day pass R45 or Annual Activity Permit R430 (Activity Card info) Day pass: A day pass is required and can be bought from the Picnic sales hut on your way up to the trails. The hut is located on your right at the Picnic gate entrance, if you reach the Manor House at the top of the road without seeing it, you’ve gone too far. Annual My Activity Permit: The My Activity Permit is required by individuals who make use of the Park to undertake Mountain biking as an activity where it is permitted. This option the best value for money at Tokai. Unlike the Day Pass, the My Activity Permit entitles the rider to unlimited entries for the year. It can be purchased at any one of the following outlets or from the Tokai Tourist Office in Tokai Road(Mondays to Fridays 08:00-16:00, closed daily between 12:30pm – 13:00pm)
  20. Duane, the pumptrack is to be included in the skills park. This has already received a tentative yes (not go-ahead) with the area allocated to the Quarry, the gum trees (Roots) and below the river adjoining the main JT. The main driver behind the project is the PPA (Gary K) and it was agreed that main input should come from the skills clinic operators making use of Tokai. There are several operators who have a stake in the area and are able to provide input for absolute novices to experienced riders looking for progression. As Myles says, it has been in discussion prior to the committee being formed and will be included in the facilities as part of the vision - which we are working on now. It is not possible to indicate it as a trail on the map but I'll demarcate the area on a separate map and send to Gary for comment/approval.. this will need extensive planning and detailed illustrations of planned features. Everything will need to be specced. A kids pump trail around the bike wash facility may even be in the pipeline... would be a nice addition along with a bench and umbrella.
  21. My goodness, how big are your fins? We can't let this travesty continue!
  22. RAD! We are certainly making progress.. Thanks for your words and really hope to see out on the next build, or the next The work everyone is doing is only possible with public support, and you will see in the near future we will be needing even more help in the form of backing as we get closer to presenting the new vision for the area. The committee has taken to bashing keyboards now to create comprehensive planning and funding documents, coz to play the gov't process and planning game does not come cheap..
  23. Jow, that's a real man! Makes sending toes in the post seem so.. normal. ...and here's the clanger, theres a rule 4! The boy is making great progress!! Despite the discomfort of running no trotting.. ok hobbling on exposed bones, he still tries to get to the door first. I'm puzzled to what the howls mean, he runs and sings now.. funniest thing ever! I can't put anything on his feet yet unfortunately, strapping him up just means weeping and oozing again. When the open wounds have closed up I'll get him some booties or bubblegummers even, he can choose I have a project for Oscar, he can work on prosthetics toes for the Joon! He'll have some time *free I'm sure. *
  24. Looking much better too.. tuning Tokyo?
  25. Wow, I see! You are going to be the guy cycling barefoot..
