What kind of riding are you planning on doing with the Foil. Its a real hardcore racing rig. If you not into the racing it might be a tad too uncomfortable over long distances. The CR1 is more for a century rider with still enough responsiveness. Not sure if Addicts are available. I think Spinnekop on the hub here has a Foil. Pm him for reviews.
  3. Saw drift trikes actually being sold at Toys r Us. Not that one that sells stuff here. I dnt know if any of us would fit in them. R1100. Similiar setup to what has been discussed here. Kids have all the fun.
  4. Drove down Salt River road in Woodstock and saw there is a new shop opening in September called Bikelane. I know there was an ad not too long ago looking for a workshop manager. Anybody have any details on shop and not forgetting the SPECIALS?
  5. Any word on Sagan's Porch? http://i1166.photobucket.com/albums/q605/shaheedosman/E3E49932-3CB5-41E7-A72B-71DC72023610-7888-00000639895CC603.jpg http://i1166.photobucket.com/albums/q605/shaheedosman/D2CF67C2-AAB5-41FE-85DB-4F74684E53CE-7888-0000063993327E31.jpg
  6. Very nice! Congrats. Ask em to remove that plastic disc on your rear wheel and lose the valve caps and nuts please. Are those mtb pedsls?
  7. IMO. These came from the late 80's. Lose the Biopace crankset or just replace the rings with normal rings. Shimano failed with these. The concept was similiar to today's Rotor's or O - rings but there execution was wrong. The Looks pedals of the time were either white 'n red, or black and white, and red n black. You can get similiar ones fron CRC. Try and get a San Marco Rolls or Selle Italia Turbo saddle which fits that time. If you are going to respray the frame try and get someone to do the decals similiar again. Check the Retro Bicycle thread on here for links to guys that do decals, not sure if they can do Bridgestone ones.
  8. I stayed at the Rotana when I was there. In the middle of town, right next door to a decent mall. Its about half hour by bus to Yas Marina circuit and Ferrari world. They have something like 8 restaurants all with its own theme. Its 4 star but definitely higher than that in my opinion. View from hotel. The new complex Souwa Island opposite should be complete by now. http://i1166.photobucket.com/albums/q605/shaheedosman/A47EAFED-1C49-461E-8BA7-B7F17FB42BFA-5417-0000049EADF42EF5.jpg http://i1166.photobucket.com/albums/q605/shaheedosman/6084BF9D-244C-45CA-AC55-C96214A1D9E1-5417-0000049E6DB3E79E.jpg
  9. Watched this event last year on dish and it was good. Lots of Top athletes took part. Cool thing of it you ran along Yas Marina and the cycle leg goes partly on the F1 circuit at Yas Marina. Enjoy your trip. Abu Dhabi is awesome to visit. I was lucky enough to go to the F1 last year.
  10. and we were just starting to have fun....
  11. Its a stage race it seems. Maybe they bringing the Giro del Capo back. Is this going to be a seeding event for 2013.
  12. Vino rocks! That gold colour looks quite 'kief' on frame. Pity about the bar tape.
  13. Big up to McD for stating his side of the story and offering to sort out things. Big cahunas dude.
  14. This just spoils it for every oke here that wants to sell some unused parts legitimately and get some cash to buy new toys. What now? There goes our feedback ratings out the window.
  15. I do this too. Just leave the cap off bag. Never had any mould in my Camelbak.
  16. You could ask the father if he coud make an affidavit and you coud oblige where both of you agree that no one is to blame here and no further action is neccessary. Explain to him that this protects both parties and is a sign of good faith.
  17. Why not have it rechromed as well. That bike looks in good condition. What year is it? Rather restore the bike back to original IMHO.
  18. Big up to you for dealing with this sensibly. Lot of times we dont deal with these things amicably and do not see it as merely an accident where no one is really to blame. This coud have ended in a nasty court case that drags on.You took every precaution to make sure it was safe before moving off and he could have been wrong rushing to get to school. Thankfully no one especially him was hurt or killed. I see on a daily basis the consequences of accidents and how it affects families. Hope you asked the dad to have a good chat with the boy about helmets and earphones.
  19. http://d-trikes.com/ has a section on how to build one.
  20. Hey Dale you beat me to it. Last post I checked was about Wiggo.
