I hope you have cleaned it by now. As for ointments you cant beat Bactroban with parrafin gauze. For initial cleaning after accident get some Remicaine jelly at chemist and apply to area then you can scrub and wash clean after a few min. Its a local anaesthetic in a gel that hospitals use.

If you cant get Loctite try some Super Contact from Gemkem or Bostik. Your threads in shoes might also be stripped.

I had a similiar bike back in 94 when I moved to Cpt. The CFR 3 was made with carbon and aluminium lugs. Mine had Campag Veloce on and I put a San Marco Ferrari saddle on. Awesome bike. Bought it from Olympic Wheelers, I think was the shops name in Parow. The CFR 1 was the full carbon model in red and black.
