This is the bike guys. Wheels are Mavic Aksiums with Gators. Bike is fitted with Sram Red.

There have been 4 incidents now in that area to date. First was Meezo who had his bike stolen early morning on Turfhhall rd. 2nd was a guy jacked in Induland crescent late afternoon. 3rd was an attempted jacking of a clubmate in Turfhall road again. 4th is today's incident.

Not me though, my club mates.

Guys were actually vigilant of pedestrians on side of road and here the bastards are pretending to be stuck on side of road, meanwhile they waiting for us.

One of my club mates was hijacked at 6am this morning in Jan Smuts avenue in Groenvlei/Lansdowne area. They were two mates on their way to join club ride and as they approached a white bakkie parked in yellow line one of the guys in bakkie knocked him off bike with a pole of some sort. They then grabbed bike and threw it on bakkie and sped off. He is a bit bruised but ok. Bakkie is a white Nissan One tonner with registration CY 59150. SAPS has traced the address of bakkie and are following up. Bike is a black Cervelo R3. Will post pics of bike when I get it.

Is that the same P2 that was converted into a roadbike? Have seen that bike numerous times at all the rides. I doubt it would be a cyclist. There are just too many opportunists lurking around at events waiting for an opportunity to score something. Damn you cant even go the toilet alone anymore.

Alain, we waiting boss. I especially wanna see that C59. My next bike for sure.

Welcome. Langebaan Lagoon challenge is quite fast as well. It's just over an hour drive out of town around the lagoon. There is Killarney racing as well on Wednesday evening. Best bet at that price new would be to go for some Mavic Aksiums. I had a pair on my old bike and used them for two years with no issues. CWC has them for R2999 including new tyres just to give you a price indication.
