  1. C'mon mavrick we want an updated pic. Don't be selfish.
  2. Only agents I know of for Corima are Complete Cyclist. Alot of the lighter Corimas are tubbies. They have sub 1500g clinchers but they don't list weight limits. They generally use less spokes than Zipps and IMO way more sexier than Zipps. Zipps have a good reputation but are so dare I say common. What is your main use going to be, budget, tubbies or clinchers etc. For what bike also.
  3. Zipp 303 is a more all rounder type of wheel with less rim height so possibly better in a sidewind than 404. Weight limit is identical 113kgs. 303 is 30g lighter per set in FC clinchers.

R23640 calculated from Duty Calculator app. It shows that bikes are exempt from duties now. I would rather check customs website because the thread posted a while back says duties are 15% + vat.

Vitus was the bee's knees in the 80/90's. French company which has aligned itself with Sean Kelly as a brand ambassador. They even have a Sean Kelly Edition. If I'm correct there new frames are commisioned from Taiwan. The design and quality control should surely still take place In France. Remember if you are going to bring one in from CRC as a complete bike there are extra duties payable plus vat. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/75887-import-duties-on-cycling-goods/
  8. Wheels first, then cages. Focus, focus, concentrate.
  9. Saturday 24th, team time trial.
  10. From cyclingnews.com, Basso and Nibs on track. http://www.cyclingnews.com/news/nibali-and-basso-coming-good-in-time-for-the-vuelta-a-espana
  11. Bridge has framesets on special, I believe there was a white one.
  12. Where can we find kit? Someone asked me where to buy in Cpt.
  13. I was merely quoting from the manual I recieved explaining the differences between setups. Thanks for the correction.
  14. I saw this and I thought 'porn with a fetish twist'.
  15. I see the Chinese have'nt copied the Oltre yet so maybe we can sell you on buying one. I personally don't see why you cant join, the more the merrier. You obviously have a love for the brand and as it says 'Bianchi lover's ' ride.
  16. Ok, so we are planning for the Saturday 7 September. Depending on sunrise which is currently at 7:28am, we should look at gathering from 7:00 at Virgin Active Greenpoint. Parking should be a plenty at the Greenpoint Park area opposite The Point. That gives everyone enough time to meet and greet and then we could probably move off by 7:30am. The route will be to Camps Bay via Beach road and then on Suikerbossie and hopefully over to Chapman's Peak for the photo opportunities ( weather depending and group consensus). We could also just turn around at SB and then head back down to Kauai in Camps Bay for breakfast.
  17. Garden Route store in George has 2 in stock.
  18. I don't wanna miss this either as I work every second weekend. Alternatively we can postpone to the 7 September as the 8th is Orbit Worcester ride which is first ride on PPA calendar.
  19. With success of Bianchi Lover's thread( https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/43843-bianchi-lovers-show-me-yours/ )suggestions were made of a breakfast ride soon. We are aiming for 24th or 25th August depending on what suits most people. The plan for now is to meet at Virgin Active Greenpoint as their is plenty parking at Greenpoint Park and then to ride onto Suikerbossie possibly Chapman's Peak and then back to Camps Bay for breakfast at Kauai. All Bianchi's welcome, old and new, road or mtb, singlespeed also welcome. I will in time post the distance for the ride and location of parking. Suggestions welcome.
  20. If you are starting out and wanna buy entry level go for a good 2nd hand 26er, probably hardtail. Like you said, you wanna upgrade later (not intended as a suggestion that 29 is better than 26). Afaik, 29er's don't fall in the sub 5000 category.
  21. Heavy boss. Sorry to hear about your loss. Hope you get the bike back. You are in the Northern suburbs?
