  1. Hey Scott Pity the helmet sizing didn't work out but put some bucks into the account for you Hope to see you onthe trails soon!
  2. I use the Ocean Eyewear Chromatics and they are still under your price and if they scratch or break the bank is not broken with it The go dark/light fairly quickly and I must say they work a charm for me personally.
  3. Cool stuff, thanks man!! Very similar to what I did last weekend. I might also join you guys on 31st. Keep me updated here and we'll see how things pan out.
  4. What do you ride so I don't piss you off by mistake
  5. I did the route from the other side on Saturday but did not do all of it. Turned back to PTA from Cullinan as I got away a bit late. So only got to 83 odd km. But with the wind pumping straight into me from there it was a good training ride. I only managed 24.1km/h average though, which was a bit disappointing.
  6. hehehe the nice thing is that is at about 100 so I might be "swayed" into phoning a 'pick-up' and enjoying some Spitfire Ale!! The route also goes past Otterlake German restaurant mmmmmmm
  7. That sounds awesome!!! I don't know whether I will be able to keep up but very keen to go!!
  8. This was sort of the idea I had.... http://www.endomondo.com/routes/231449857
  9. I basically want to start From Waverley through to Hazeldean centre on the tar then from there up towards Rosemary hills but straight across old Boschkop and then over the hill to the R515 then left towards Rayton. There are some gravel roads I wanna try there and then through to Cullinan and then back via the road you gave now and then the Kameelfontein loop that I normally ride.
  10. Great thanks I just needed the last link to Cullinan. I ride this area every week and know most of these roads but now I can doe the full loop which should get me close to about a 100ks
  11. Cool I ride that side alot!!
  12. Hi Guys n Gals I am looking for a MTB route from Rayton via Cullinan to Waverley in PTA. I know the route via Hazeldean to Rayton. But if anyone has a route that they do around that general area for distance then I would appreciate to know about it. Thanks!!

  17. Dude that's nothing, try insuring your bike with Outsurance. My one MTB is with them ..... R624 / month!!!! My other bike is with Cyclesure at just over R300/month, but must say their terms and claims procedure is super smooth and bike is well covered. Time to move the other one to Cyclesure as well!!
  18. You can also use your Polar and upload via Polar weblink to earn the same point I use Endomondo PRO but because none of these really work the way I want to I just manually upload my ride afterwards using my Polar for the stats and building the route online.
  19. Agree with armpies, but if it was me and we had to go purely on how it makes me feel when I see a pic of it.... VaaaaaaaaIPA!!! Personal pref and opinion as always
  20. I'm currently testing a full on GPS based tracking system.....
  21. Then you are the luckiest bugger out there as I have only had "less than desirable" service from them. I still have my RS800CX but yeah, have only heard good things about Garmin....
  22. To those who complain: Have a cup of cement and harden the f up!!
  23. Hi Guys n Gals I am looking for a lodge or similar type of place to go do some training on the weekend of the 9th of August. It must be close to Pretoria or fairly close...lets say up to about 100 km, and have either it's own trails or accessible dirt roads around where one can do a fair distance without having to ride the same track over and over. Would appreciate any info. Thanks!!
  24. I have been using the Fox for some time now and I like the low down protection on the back of the head. Not the lightest but if you ride some AM or Trail you might be better off getting something like this. If you only do XC or marathon, get a nice light helmet. Have a look at the Catlike Leaf or similar.
  25. Exactly
