  1. Must say I also am not having too much luck with contacting you guys. I own a Ghost and wanted some riding gear and maybe a cap or top or something to support the brand. But my enquiries have fallen on deaf ears it seems. I eventually got a top from Cajees in Randburg close to your offices (where I have been as well). Total Trek - Cajees are now the agents for Ghost. They are in Randburg and also in Centurion (the ones I know of. Worthwhile to try as well is Hot Spot cycles in Atterbury value mart.

    Ice Toolz

I was referring to the mechanic / shop person at Hatfield cycles who was of the opinion that the BBB set is good value for money. But I hear ya, shop around a bit and maybe select a couple of Park Tools and buy them now and add on later. If I find something else worthwhile I will report back.

    Ice Toolz

Seems like its more a matter of opinion as the guys from Hatfield cycles told me on Saturday that the BBB is pretty good.... So yeah I'll have another look around an then make a decision. I think price is really the more important of the criteria at the moment. I would not mind buying a Park Tools set for more but then again am I really going to be using it that many times .... aaaarrrrgggghhhhh decisions decisions

Yeah the Ice tools look ok and seems to be quite a nice number of tools for the price.

    Ice Toolz

Hi guys I am looking to buy a set of tools for servicing my MTBs myself. I saw these at CW Cycles http://www.cwcycles.co.za/product/icetoolz-pro-shop-toolbox I know that I would really like to buy a Park tools set but not right now. So I would like something that is: Below R1K Reasonable quality Widest range of tools available for the price I have quite a few tools already but nothing Bike specific so I have been ok with basic servicing and changing of chainrings and crank arms, derailleurs posts etc. But would like something bike specific with all (or as many as possible) of the right tools. If you guys can give some input or even if you have a set you would like to sell I would really appreciate hearing from you.
  7. 26er yeah. Cool will go give those a look!!
  8. Hi Guys n Gals I'm looking to replace the set of stock rims on my Ghost. Looking for something strong that can handle the bumps n jumps. The Crank Brothers sets as well as Mavic Crossmax SLRs look very cool but don't know how strong they are. Any recommendations?
  9. Guys I am looking for the Youtube vid but cant find it, was it taken off ? Wanna show some mates doing it with me this year.
  10. 2010 Was dry and HOT and 2011 WET!! Only thing both had in common was the level of enjoyment!!! But as mentioned spare brake pads is a must as you do tend to use them quite a bit on the downhill sections and especially if it is muddy. Training wise I would suggest doing lots of climbing training as there is a 'fair' amount involved. O and get a decent set or two of riding shorts, unless if you are strong enough to stand all the way ... in which case I bow down to you Additionally bring some good MTB spirit and you WILL love this one ... Guaranteed!!
  11. Nice route but the congestion at many stages in the race ruined it a bit. Amazed at how lacking a big part of the field's technical skills were, anyways start towards the front and it should be better. Good organisation overall.
  12. No but would not mind knowing as well .... lets make one
  13. Yeah yeah yeah!!! Come guys the entries for newbs open in a couple of days!! Lets start building the hype!! So yeah I wanna see those entries sell out quickly, I know mine is in!! See Ya'all there!!!

  18. I'm sorry but IMHO if she doesn't care about him anymore she would not even have asked you!
  19. Buy the Epic if you want a Specialized otherwise look somewhere else ... as the name suggests everything is Specialized and unless you have a dealer closeby you are stuffed!! Awesome bikes but yeah ......I ride a Stevens Team Fluent so know about not having support in this country trust me you dont want that!! Otherwise buy a secondhand frame off the Hub, some really good ones going on here!! If I had to buy now I would buy a Merida ... Good value for money and good support all around! My 2c ....
  20. I also have Mavics with DT Swiss Hubs that make that sound ... I loooove it though and when sneaking up I normally do it in the big chain ring, small gear at the back, standing up and pumping it!!
  21. Big up to this guy!! Will be watching out for him in EL!!
