  2. ........ so when was the account rectified? Could it have been sorted only after Mr Els made its status public or uh, never mind, I must finish my ritilin Here's what happened: our AS400 was updated 2 days late and CWC paid on 28.12.2007 which was the due date. The payment was put through by Probike after I studied the account history. Chris Snr should follow the posts on the hub that are made about wholesalers that at times have seen him through trying times and my business partner Peter Miller is one of those people who made sure that happened. So when wholesalers who have shown this support read on a public forum that their industry is now headed for litigation by the very people they helped keep the doors open then excuse a tongue in cheek comment based on the mental history of the status of the account. The bicycle industry is not silly games. Millions and millions are invested in people, square meters that is consumed by the volumetric nature of the product and marketing. The people that make these capital investments have helped people without the floor space and capital to make a living over the years like Probike has done for CWC. Don't post silly messages about dragging people to court that have helped you because they may want that capital back - which is the point of the public response of if we are good enough to be seen in court then pay up your account and close it. Probike today continues to finance a very large % of the bike industry and its our pleasure because we deal with great people.
  3. Chris Jnr, when you threaten with legal action against wholesalers on a public forum make sure you are ready for history to be brought into the open. I am sure your dad is not going to like what will come out in that court! You should now state which wholesalers and retailers will prepare them for the impending litigation from the competition commission and yourself or is this your opening marketing gambit for 2008. The wholesale trade is waiting for your answer please? I am very happy for you to follow your business model, but please refrain from tainting the wholesale trade without facts. The reason Probike specs some of the 100 of 1000's of bikes we sell a year with Shimano is the back-up that Coolheat provides en masse. So follow yours and allow others to follow their's. It costs Coolheat a lot of money to train competent staff, attend seminars, keep spares, sponsor MTN, keep spares going back 5 years and that's why they are more expensive than you Chris Jnr. So when you make statements make them on the merits of your business model and not the demerits of someone else's business model. As for your account payment history I am quite prepared to publish that here as well. And I am prepared to publish it for the past 5 years as well. Your account with Probike is closed. Its not closed because you sold any of our products online because I have mentioned I personally support Chainreaction Cycles. Its closed because I can choose who I want to deal with.
  4. Chris, can you please ask your dad to pay our account? Its in 60 and 90 days again!
  5. I heard that they have a different grade of carbon though with the Karbonas being stronger. Slick where did you here that? There is only one type of carbon used, but in different weaves. All carbon bikes in the world come from only 4 carbon sources : Toray (Boeing supplier), Mitsubishi, Formosa and Toho (Airbus supplier). All carbon bicycle frame manufacturers who make frames for bicycle brands buy from these 4 suppliers. There is zero difference in quality, but different weaves result in different weights.

  9. Guarantee = You get a replacement. Service = How long will you wait. Raleigh guarantee's all 450+ bike models we do and you will not wait longer than 5 working days till its at your dealer unless we need to import in which case we airfreight. The point I am trying to make Brandon is that I bought the frame used for R3k (with seatpost & stem) and at the price, condition etc is fantastic. The question of guarantee etc is a mute point and irrelevent to this instance. At the price I paid and after very close inspection and discussions with the importer, I feel that the risk is entirely acceptable. So for R3k I have a frame that is beautiful, Carbon, and my wife is ecstatic about - an absolute bargain in my book and a winner! Racman, I wish you many happy k's. You are correct its irrelevant.

  11. My no. 1 product that I saw at Eurobike 2007 was on a Storck. Check out these carbon rotors at Euro 1800 a piece! Eish!! http://www.raleigh.co.za/blogs.php?blogId=111&authorId=2
  12. Kevin Evans is the highest paid mountain bike pro and I can assure you that your numbers are way too low. Malcolm is the highest paid road cyclist and I doubt that any other SA based pro will recieve his salary in the next 5 years.
  13. http://www.bicyclesb2b.com/work/b_paradeS.jsp?supplier=30213&industry=BI Both are made by ADK. The Felt Time Trial bikes' date=' Kestrel, Raleigh RC Teams, Merida forks etc etc too many to mention. [/quote'] Dit kan die ouens wees wat actually die frames maak, maar wat het dit met enigiets uit te waai ?? Sekerlik word die designs vir Felt of Raleigh by die respective companies gedoen en submit na ADK vir manufacturing?? So dis 'n geval van Garbage in Garbage Out ! I supply info only and answer Raleigh related questions. Trying to win arguments on the hub is a real waste of time. As the largest bike company we know that being slagged off is par for the course so please keep at it
