I have no sympathy for the dead dude. If you play with guns and point them at people and terrorise them then there are consequences to that. Pitty the other two got away but hopefully they can track them down. I am sure that these are the same 3 that have been doing all the jackings. Thats one less armed parasite on the spruit to worry about.

I didn’t see the incident if I could find out how to upload photos I can show you the damage to the vehicle from kicking and bashing the side of the car - no excuse to behave like an animal. If you can’t behave yourself on the road then get a mountainbike - personally I would have maced they guy in the face and then laid a charge of assault with the police.

Can anyone who witnessed a rider having road rage against a woman driving on William Nicol this morning come forward with details of the rider. He did some serious damage to the car at the robot after loosing his temper. I think the rider was part of a cyclelab ride as the driver of the vehicle said there was a vehicle following the riders. This kind of behavior is a disgrace. Please guys can one of the other riders come forward and do the right thing. Thankyou.

Will it be possible to ride jonkershoek on Friday or saturday before the event on Sunday ?

I was riding Jonkershoek this morning and had a nasty fall as someone had placed two tree branches at knee height across the trail. We rode down Armageddon and ended up on what looked like a new fast black route coming off Armageddon. I was doing about 30km/h and as i came down a steep section there were two thick branches at knee height across the trail - i had no option but to break hard and hit them sending me flying over the handlebars. Luckily for me there were not many rocks around and got of fairly lightly. This could so easily have resulted in some serious injury. There was no doubt that they were intentionally placed there. We did earlier see a group of students at the top of Saaljie who were having a bachelors party (weekend) as they were dressed up in all the kit - not sure if these guys might have thought it would be a fun prank to play - either way it was damn dangerous - we cant have stuff like this happening on our trails.

Is it possible to run a 42 cassette with the new shimano XT 2 x 11 ? Also looking for someone to fit the group set for me if i supply the group set as I can buy it a lot cheaper online than I can from LBS. any advise would be appreciated.

Rode the Red yesterday again, its really rutted in the corners and seems to have taken a hammering since the riders from Origin of trails rode it. Not sure that it was the best idea to have hundreds of riders hammer it before it had time to settle. Its going to need some rain and some TLC some time soon.

Rode the red route this morning, was nice and damp. By far the best trail I have ridden in a long long time, can't get the smile off my face. A lot of thought has gone into making this trail flow -big up to the guys who have put so much work into the trails. Cant imagine how good it will be when it has been ridden in and bedded down.

Any update on the completion of the Red Line, will it be open by the weekend ? Holding thumbs

I don't really see the point in taking shortcuts you are really missing the stoke of what it means to be out on your bike and experiencing the trails. To be honest I wouldn't even get worked up about it, its like taking short cuts to be KOM on Strava, it just means you are missing the essence of why we love to ride bikes. We need to stop taking ourselves so seriously and be nice to hayleyearth she is a lady.

Wessel from the map it looks like you have included the rinkaals black B loop. I did that loop 3 weeks ago and I can't imagine the average weekend warrior handling it too well. Not sure if the map is correct - if it is then prepare to kuk off thats a really tough loop.

I dont understand why on the profile it never shows the total ascent for the stage - who wants to look at a profile graph that does not show total ascent ? Are we supposed to guess it.

I hope these guys get one in the exit chute while in the holding cells. Disgraceful bunch.
