  1. True, but I can still be hopeful. it just means that the guy's who can't handle sitting at 35Km/h up suikerbossie will still have a group to ride with once they crest the top You are a machine any way - Killarney position gives it away
  2. I can't remember the name but it was somewhere on here: http://www.facebook.com/cycletourtrust Edit: here: http://www.cycletour.co.za/index.php/causes/causes-supported-by-our-riders/give-me-a-chance-childrens-foundation/
  3. I wonder too if it is worthwhile to get a licence..... I am in A but I reckon I could have possibly made elites. I would hope that A would be the same as VA taking into account any attacks - but I think it'll be more surges as a group rather than attacks to break the bunch. As I say, i hope.....
  4. Dunno why you are sending emails to Racetec. From the email: 'Please do not reply to this email with any seeding queries as no e-mail or telephonic queries will be accepted. An online query may be submitted by going to http://seeding.cycletour.co.za/. It may take a few working days for a formal response, so please do NOT resubmit the form. If you have previously sent a seeding request, and we have acknowledged your request, then the information that you provided has been taken into account.'
  5. VA WILL be fast! I know a few riders in that bunch. They ride for teams in the PPA league. BUT, that being said, they ride for position whilst the A bunch will be for time. Tough choice
  6. On the cycletour email they said that there were newer criteria too - also, your race for victory might have been perfect weather whereas Die Burger had a head wind for the last 40 odd Km of the race - so they compare and have a difficulty index there too. Not me doing the seeding, so only they (cycletour guys) can help you there.
  7. So this is worst case scenario then...... sounds OK in that case. Lets hope for last year's weather
  8. I like the sound of that...... not the first bit - but pain has become my friend. If you don't feel it, you aren't riding hard enough
  9. I don't like that - 2010's A bunch rode 3:03 I was hoping for a 2:45ish. Guess who is going to be off on the front a good few times
  10. Good to hear you are recovering! Hope you make it before the big day
  11. Off topic: Hows the healing coming along? gonna be ready for this event?
  12. http://old.cyclelab.com/Seeding.asp
  13. Well then give it a shot - can't hurt, only better your start time.
  14. Go for it! BUT, just remember that you might get dropped if the group is full of fast riders.... but I doubt that.
  15. It's still a sub3 group if the right riders are in it Did a sub3 from E last year - but that was perfect weather
  16. See if you can join a charity - they leave between 8 and 8:30. Would be a minimum of 45min earlier start time
  17. 4th spot on the roadie challenge - story of my life! Always miss the podium spot
  18. There are other rules that have to be satisfied for the results to be used - read the t's and c's - there are minimum participant numbers, numbers of teams, etc. Maybe they could not use the results due to lack of meeting the requirements.
  19. you want me to hook you up? The steak and the Lily....... Killarney you can do yourself.
  20. see you on my second lap then? LOL
  21. Last year was freak weather.
  22. hahahahaha!
  23. Another crash? Seems there is one every week! Damn, Killarney is more dangerous than race days!
  24. Ok, lets edit that - Will definitely be a help to ride well and save energy for the second split.
  25. Well, look at it this way, if you drop off, you know I am right behind you. Will definitely be a help to ride a good time - the bunch WILL be moving, even if it depends on me....... and you know how I ride.
