I used the current discounts (Shopped at Sportsman Warehouse) to upgrade to a 530 from a (now dysfunctional) Edge 800. Lovely little bike computer, but after the touch screen of the 800 I'm still adjusting to all the buttons.

Not looking for training advise. I just have a few road seeding questions. I've been out of the cycling thing after 2 unfortunate "not keeping the rubber side down" events (external parties induced), family stuff and moving from Joburg, discovering gravel-grinding/dirt-roadie stuff (okay the others riding with me think of what they are doing as a MTBing! - different debate though). I'm tempted to do the 94.7 (Ride Joburg) again this year after being away from roadie stuff for a half a decade. Riding with, around or at the same time with the back bunches terrifies me - my last (bad) experience was doing a second lap with a RR rider - the rider was great, but it felt like the others on the road had no idea of cycling safety! So, in general, but specific to the above race: Is there still a single seeding ladder as used to be with Racetec races? Can I just go do any Racetec timed road event (90kmm+) to improve my seeding? Is Racetec still a thing? Any events recommended to use to accelerate moving up a/the seeding ladder? PS: my seeding was OK in yonder years; sub 20, good enough to have landed up in Vets for the 94.7 Dare I ask the "weekend warrior" @Cyclewizz? (if he is even still around) for any advise? Anybody else welcome to chip in!

Breaks are overrated, especially if you have a helmut! ???? I would have loved to have gone out with you. We left about an hour later and only made it to Venterskroon before turning around and away from the storm. I took shelter at Koedoeslaagte trails. Had some coffee with Attie before heading back to the FS after the rain

I'm no web developer, but it seems like help might be needed if tapatalk integration is still a wanted feature for the site / owners. My guess is that it is not, because 1. the classifieds are pushed into our faces all the time, and 2. classifieds section was not working on tapatalk. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm not. Maybe time to look for another cycling related hang out with a ZA flavour? Maybe time to start r/SouthAfricanCyclingChitChat perhaps?

“Bokkie” +/- 15 year old foxie / wirehair cross. He was my sons great grandmothers only companion. We adopted him when she became too frail early in 2018. The little fellow is currently recovering (doing well) from a stroke he suffered on Monday. Yup totally spoilt and more of a child than a dog!
