  1. Disused train tracks at the edge of town
  2. I'm on 660GB+ for this month. All on capped. 50GB is peanuts... People still see internet usage as a precious commodity. Precious as in scarce, like water in WC. Actually internet should be more like air. Plentiful and (nearly) free
  3. as a stickler for facts:Floppies were 5 1/4 inches and capacity was 360kb (when I started playing with computers) and later their capacity increased to 1.2 mb Floppies were replaced by 3.5 inch stiffies. These were 720kb initially, but later on 1.44mb Around the time USB disks came out a 2.88mb stiffy was available, but for obvious reasons it never took off. My first USB disk had a capacity of 16mb! I used to have a old (relic) 8 inch floppy disk which I kept at my office desk, but lost it during a move
  4. Sure it was worth the while with Gym, Shoe, Apple Watch... but1. I get my caffeine fix at work 2. I have 2 Garmin devices 3. The Apple Watch is nice to have but I always feel like somebody under house arrest with an ankle monitor when wearing it. I qent two decades without a watch before the Apple 4. No gym around where I stay 5. Smoothies I started drinking because they were free, none where I stay now 6. Targeting Vitality goals affected my fitness and enjoyment of fitness activities negatively Long and short, it became an administrative burden to gain money out of the system and I’d rather forego the marginal gains for quality of life
  5. I'm going with Personal Booster next year. As soon as they've paid for my Apple Watch, I'm cancelling the whole Vitality thing. Financial benefits are gained via another platform, and all the admin for two smoothies, or coffees now, is frankly just not worth the effort
  6. Let us play name the boxer(s) The above posted on FB in 2016
  7. A recent article with some numbers http://m.news24.com/news24/You/Archive/jimmy-abbott-230-kg-lighter-20170728 Maybe not so recent, google says 2017, article says 2012
  8. Interesting how the the interviewer kept on mentioning 200 and 300 mill and rematch after the match. Mayweather kept on saying this was his last.... A case of too much 'fake' protesting, but a way to setting the purse goal for a rematch?
  9. I use a Dell Inspiron laptop with a CORE I5 CPU It has 8GB RAM,500GB HDD,13" touch screen,Windows 10 Single Language.Bluetooth (connection to headphones),Wi-Fi? (via home network to tablet / phone as remote control and also connection to the internet), ANT+ via dongle (to PowerTap)Internet connection: 20mbit fibreAnd it all works smoothly. The specs you posted might be more suitable for online FPS/shoot-em-up style gaming. Total overkill for the blocky graphics (compared to modern games) in Zwift. Important stuff Wi-Fi/Lan connection, Bluetooth (If the Tacx uses that?) USB ports (for ANT+ Dongle if required) A decent (stable connection, with not second long pings) internet connection will be more important than any of the rest. The rest: RAM (8GB+) the most important. More than 8 will not make a big difference though GFX card.... not so much OS... whatever allows Zwift to run (Any flavour of Windows 10 in other words) HDD size will have the least effect, other than availabel space The rest are basically irrelevant for Zwift
  10. Just for this McGregor must win
  11. Saturday I rode straight into a howling wind. Turned around and with the wind could only manage a tenth overall position over a 10km segment... going at an average of 44km/h for that segment. Guess I joined the list of wind assisted rides. this afternoon I ran down to the river before heading back home. Easy 6km Time to be lazy is over
  12. Twee Maandae, een Fake Friday, een kort naweek! Kan nie wat vir die regte naweek om in te skop nie!

  16. I used to use the 233s (6 mm drop) and absolutely loved these. Unfortunately they are not available anymore. Tried the Road x 220s (3mm drop) but they were not a comfy fit (bumper strip around the toes vs the slipper fit of the 233s) and I also kept on getting niggles. The 220s offered quite a bit less support than the 233s. I was not run regularly either. In the end decided to go for a slightly higher drop, so I'm using the New Balance Pace Vazee 2. They have a 8mm drop and a slightly more cushy sole. Still use the Inov8 Trail Talon 250 for light (even surfaces) trail running. These tend to be my go to shoe for parkruns now.
  17. Been reliving rides (and now runs) for nearly a year. Really cool!

  20. My 2c: 1. A Chinarello is a counterfeit. It is made by an outsider (without consent) to profit 2. If Pinarello makes a replica of their bikes and state that these are replicas, then these are not fake/counterfeit
