*Both* Marquez brothers have scribbled their Hondas. The older one his nice new 2020 spec bike. There's a lovely pic of him on Twitter walking back with a handful of carbon pieces....

What time does testing start today?

I hope that thing doesn't bite him like the Honda did to Lorenzo.....
  6. And him too (before all the politics of Ferrari sucked the life out of him) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XrVHqRVKyEs
  7. I love this guy.... https://www.sportvideos.tv/daniel-ricciardos-hilarious-reaction-to-help-bottas-beat-hamilton/
  8. I seemed to recall she had an older boyfriend with an RM250.....
  9. yes, but we always asked the girls, were they more impressed with a bore diameter, or the stroke length? Cue much blushing and giggling. Apart from one girl who mentioned revs per minute....
  10. Spanish Fly. Now there's a word I haven't heard since High School. Does Spanish Fly actually exist, or does it fall into the same classification as "My RZ50 does 180kph...."
  11. Surely its the bonnet that goes between those things that should excite you more

Impromptu press conference being called by Lorenzo for 15:00 today. With the Boss of Dorna. The Spanish Press reckon he's going to announce his retirement.
  13. These bad boys - the black and Yellow ones....
  14. I had an MDS helmet. Because Andre Malherbe had an MDS. I also had AXO leather MX boots, Sinisalo gloves, Scott Goggles and I'm pretty sure the chest protector was also Sinisalo.....
  15. Hmmmm - might have been my old hybrid lol
  16. After my AR50 which was pretty rapid my Dad did a deal with my brothers and cars, and I was offered a brand new MBX - R3495 in 1988. Compared to the AR quality wise it was miles ahead, but it was a slug performance wise. Even with a bored out carb and K&N filter it wasn't great. In the end, I barely rode it, and sold it to buy (another) DT175 for university. Probably only had 6000kms on when I sold it. Often wonder where it is now. The AR would be easier to track - I had an AE and desperately wanted and AR so found an abused one in Newcastle where we lived. It never had papers, so because the frames were the same, I converted the AE engine to six speed, and built the AR parts over to the AE frame. So somewhere out there in SA is an AR50, with AE50 engine and frame numbers..... It would also have a custom manifold to fit a Suzuki B120 carb, ridiculously wild porting and marks on the rear wheel where my Dad took it to Iscor and they gripped the hub in a massive lathe with a 3-jaw chuck to turn out the groove in the rear brake hub surface....
  17. Wish we had GPS back then - might have settled a whole bunch of arguments. Although 105kph doesn't sound nearly as cool as "I can easily get the needle way past the turn light-must be at least 140kph"
  18. I think we just *thought* the chicks liked the smell. Because when I came in from a ride a few months back on the DT my wife looked at me with a screwed up nose and asked what that smell was.....

  20. R7 motors are actually not great standard - you need the race kit to make it proper, but in any case they are way beyond most peoples financial means anyway. Handing is top notch though (there's a reason people ditch the 750 engine and build R71's - google that..... The R1SP on the other hand, is way more affordable, has one of the best R1 engines out there (before the nannies got involved) and is also very sexy looking. I would consider one of these as an investment.....
  21. UnobR7ium.....
  22. In fact, would probably be better off doing what Steven is doing, and instead of turning and R3 into a 350, turn your 350 into an R3 with better suspension, brakes and wheels.
  23. My gut feeling was exactly that - anything is possible, but a good TZR would in my opinion be much better.
  24. Definitely possible - been done before in the states - think I might even have posted the link here somewhere https://www.r3-forums.com/forum/289-yamaha-r3-general-discussion/131353-r3-engine-swap-track-bike.html https://www.imdb.com/title/tt10027466/
  25. Cylinder head (not complete with cams or valves) - $7573 We have a winner.... Set of inlet valves (12) - R48000 - give or take Set of exhaust valves (8) - R35132....
