I find it funny that the riders here can laugh at the unfortunate ones that fell on the bermed section during W2W. As they were showing the adventure and not the race one can expect a few riders with lesser skills than than the mighty Mtb Gods on this forum having a hard time negotiating that section of the route. Maybe just once you mighty Mtb Gods that can laugh and make fun of these riders must sit back and think of all the times you fell and made silly mistakes on a mtb. And if you tell me you have never had a fall or never made a mistake I will know you have never really ridden your bike.

Sikaflex is used to adhere windscreens to the body of a car. The real sikaflex is not in a plastictube like silicon but in a mould same as a French polony. Beware using it as it makes a good old mess and if spilled on a carpet you are stuffed. Once it dries it is as hard as rock and removing a broken spoke will be a problem. You will have to ensure that if you use it to clean the area very well. Yes it will work but so will normal silicone. Have done it with marine silicone and it worked very well. Sikaflex is just an expensive option. My recommendation would be silicone.

Well that was fun. Started in O and ended up with some of the I and J riders at the finish. Nice route and noe real wind to bother us.

Looking forward to my first road race in three years. Spent the last three years racing my mtb and this should be fun.
