  3. Some more pics
  4. New ride
  5. Have had the same experience this weekend. Hubber mailed me the pictures and when I went to see the stuff after it was dropped and paid for it was not the same. Have sent him a mail and awaiting his reply. If it does not get resolved his name will be added to the list and made known to other hubbers.
  6. Payment made. Now the big training starts again for the 10th edition of this Magical MTB Event. Will be riding in the mixed cat and my partner and I will be looking at having a great race.
  7. Why just give to development teams? We are creating a situation where everybody just wants and never really want to work for anything. I have had enough listening to the same old story about how we as the previous regime did not look after others. I have to donate things to those less fortunate that was oppressed during the previous regime. Then the bikes and kit ends up on a 12 to 13 year olds lucky bones. WTF???? Was this kid really part of the struggle? I even got told oneday after taking 2 Fuji sl frames that they are not good enough as it is not carbon. Loaded the frames and told this development academy they can go and ****themselves. Time these "academies" started working for the freebies they want.
  8. First get your wife measured and then fitted for a bike. that way you will find the correct size bike. Speak to Line at CWCycles and make the correct choice.
  9. Get a Rotor 3D crank 2x10. My ratio I'm running upfront is 40/27. More than enough topend speed on the 40 chainring.
  10. If indeed Probike decided to withdraw the product I say to bad. The Probike site has very little in the form of what they do sell and import. Stock also always seems to be a problem and the waiting period is sometimes just unacceptable. Cutting out the middle man is not always such a bad idea either. Outsurance is good example. If the shops can offer better prices to the consumer why not? Everybody is for always bitching and moaning about high prices for everything. Now that a bikeshop decides to do something about it everybody is still bitching and moaning!! I say kudos to CWCycles if that is indeed the case. Many of the people on this forum buy of the net. So what happens to the so called sole importer and distributor of said products bought overseas? And do not tell me it is just one person as you guys regularly advertise to get people and then chip in to make a CRC order big enough to make sure no other payments are necessary. Some food for thought.
  11. Not faceplant. Mens noem daai neer moer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  12. Rode with the set-up that was done and I am so comfortable. For those that say go to a reputable fitter I say "that is what I did". Just came as a shock that I could actually ride a much smaaler frame that I thought. Thanks to Ergofit.
  13. After reading about the benefits of having a proper bike-setup done I took the plunge and booked a set-up. Now just to make all understand the topic title here is a bit of info. 1,92m tall and been riding 60-61cm frames all my life. 175cranks and a saddle height of 82. After my measurements was done and fed to the computer it spat out an answer. Frame size = 57cm!!!!!!! Stem length = 115 Did I shrink or what?
  14. Spent a bit of time at CWCycles and saw that they do not sell Scott anymore. Used to see a few nice bikes there but it seems that they stopped selling the brand.
  15. Do not know him.
  16. What downhill? The route is more gravel roads than anything else and can be done on a cyclocross bike.
  17. I used to service bikes for people at their homes. But it becomes a bit of a problem when they think you work 24/7 and cannot accept the fact that fitting a new groupset he bought, at 22H00 the night is just not going to work.
  18. That whole section is a compulsary portage and not just the downhill part of it. Riding that part is not permitted by Nature Conservation.
  19. Saw the highlites on DSTV last night of the last stage and saw some of the Pro riders riding on the section that is supposed to be a compulsary portage due to the historic signafigance of that section. Whats up with that?
  20. My latest upgrade. Rotor 3D Crank 40-27

  23. Great to see such a big bunch of riders out for a training ride. Seemed to have 3 groups out on Saturday riding in the direction of Blaauwberg. I can understand with the size of the bunches why the cycling lane was not used. BUT CAN THE RIDE CAPTAIN PLEASE ENSURE THAT ALL RIDERS STAY INSIDE THE YELLOW LINE WHEN TRAVELLING ON OTTO DU PLESSIS DRIVE. ALL THREE BUNCHES HAD RIDERS THAT DECIDED RIDING ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE YELLOW LINE IS THE NORM.
