  1. When climbing would one have to store the removeable chin bar in/attach it to a backpack/bladder or is there another clever method I haven't thought of to store the chin bar when not in use?
  2. Thank you for the feedback so far!
  3. I'm looking to get feedback from people who have used the Leatt (formerly DBX) now MTB 3.0 Enduro full face helmet with the detachable chin bar in terms of comfort, durability (if you took a fall with it), airflow and how hot it gets in summer, I know a few years ago people had issues in terms of the clasps breaking off from the detachable chin bar? I have attached a link below to the 2021 version https://leatt.com/za/shop/mtb/protection/helmets/helmet-mtb-3-0-enduro-v21-sku-1021000640-W?selected-color=5440
  4. My LBS recommended taking out the inner 2x pins on the Stamp 2 so that ones foot can almost sink into the centre of the pedal, which would give one that concave feel!
  5. I looked at the Giants but their pins are smooth! Consensus seems to be that threaded grub screws offer more grip, especially if you get longer grub screws/pins (that are obviously compatable with ones shoes)!
  6. I'm looking at getting a pair of the Crankbrothers Stamp 2 metal flat pedals for MTB. I'd love to get some feedback on them or recommendations of other brands in the R1000 region that are better suited/comparable!
  7. Thanks for the feedback so far! Would love more opinions on the Leatt DBX 3.0 and Ride Concepts shoes!! It also seems like stock is a big issue at the moment from the few places I phoned so far with regards to finding the Leatt's in a size UK11!
  8. I'm looking for recommendations for a pair of super grippy and good quality shoes to be used for trail/enduro mountain biking in conjunction with flat pedals! Five Ten seem to be the gold standard, but sadly are no longer available in SA it seems. My budget is ideally R1500+-
  9. I'm looking for recommendations for brands and models of baggies for trail/enduro style riding? Ideally without or with a removable a liner/chamois and below R1k, is this feasible in today's market for a decent quality pair of baggies with prices having skyrocketed recently? Lastly if you know off hand, where in Cape Town stocks the brand you recommend as I'd ideally like to try on a pair for fit before purchasing them? I searched the forum and the results are all from 2+ years ago, at that stage Indola, Westpeak, Endura and Fox seemed to be the most recommended brands, but most of the common sizes (M/L and 34/36) of the first two aforementioned brands seem to be out of stock online and the latter are all priced at R1500+!
  10. Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback! Judging from the consensus, I will go look at MX gloves made by Fox and Leatt which don't have velcro tabs! MX 24 and Go MX in Blouberg CPT seem to have some good options fitting the above criteria!
  11. I'm looking for advice and recommendations for durable full finger MTB gloves! It will be used for trail and enduro style riding, so preferably something with some padding/knuckle protection!
