  1. whatever happened to cyclesure, they sure sucked. My dad had his bike stolen and 3 weeks after he got a new bike he was nearly killed in a taxi smash. They cancelled his insurance, said his high risk
  2. I think this sux becuase if I want something it is my choice where i want to buy it from. If I have friend at a car dealer and they are not "authorized" to sell a certain make but they can get it I will buy from him to give hime the commission. It just sounds like pricefixing to me.
  3. My HR is starting to show that the batery is going flat, can I take it to any watch shop or does Polar have to do it. AAgh as I will be without the HR for a few weeks then.
  4. I'm on 90km now and every day do 10km more and every 3 days have aday off, someone has told me that I should go for a jog in the afternoons on the days that I ride but not on the days that I rest. I want to start racing at the end of the month. When I to LSD I ride at 140-155 bpm. Really boring as I do it alone. I was thinking of building uo to 160km. Will this be anough as I have varsity champs in 2 months.
  5. I am on this program at the moment, but I feel as if I am building my base really slowly, can I boost it in some way to get more distance faster without hurting myself?
  6. didn't lance also get tested for some stuff a while back? it got throuwn out due to "technicalities"
  7. Weather he gets disqualified or not, he still stood on the podium at Paris, if the second guy gets first now it won't matter
  8. Eina! Daai tannie is darm oulik
  9. I have 2 friends who had both the team bikes and between the 2 of them they went through 5 of them in 3 months, 1 cracked 2 and the 3rd had a paint defect, the other had a crack and when they replaced it he traded it for a Giant. I must say the Raleigh is one of the sexiest bikes out there
  10. I read both the posts from CWC and this one and if this is what the local agents are doing, I will make a point to NOT buy any of those products from lacal bike shops. The agents in South Africa is making a killing and forces the bike shops to make a small profit. From this post it looks that J&J cycling is trekking a bit naargat, so bad on you guys, you won't be getting any of my business any time soon. CWC and Marvuli: You will get all my support from now on. Looks like these guys are picking on you. Face it agents, it is all about the money, if products are imported legally and VAT and other duties are paid by these guys what's the problem. I had bought some parts from another store overseas and when I had to get some parts replaced the agent in SA(no names) did not want to replace it, he said that if it was bought from overseas it has no warantee. I simply sent an e-mail to the manufacturer and within a week I had a new set of wheels that the agent in SA had to give me. The manufacturer said that their products has a INTERNATIONAL warantee.
  11. I've been trying to go cycle in Belgium for 2years now, but also don't have the funds available to get a visa. I see there is a number of people that has this problem, can't csa help with regards to this? Shurely if the cyclists who wishes to go to Belgium or Europe to develope their talents go through csa they must be able to assist with visa's. What are they there for then??
  12. The way I feel is that the cyclist must not just expect people to watch out for them but the cyclists must first have respect for the motorists and maybe then will they get respect from the motorists. I myself get damn pissed off when there are riding 3 cyclists next to each other and shouting at motorists when they hoot.
  13. Nice site, just a pitty the bikes look great but don't ride great
