  2. They should just be done with it and build these

  4. By extension you kinda do.

  6. Using the KTM as an example it is actually quite easy. 1. It doesn't leak oil 2. It won't cost you a FORTUNE in maintenance 3. You won't have to wait for parts that you then pay through your ears for 4. It doesn't ship with latent defects 5. Buyers in CT won't have to ship their bikes to Bloem or Jhb to have it serviced. 6. It doesn't come with a "KTM aka ATM" heritage See, easy.
  7. Yip, that's why RBR is saying F1 will need to make a call in the 6-8 weeks so it can be incorporated into the 2017 design. Driver cooling will come into play as well. Riciardo reported a lot less buffeting and wind noise.
  8. Great to see sensible, real life tech on bikes. Clever stuff and good to see Cannondale going all in and not just launching a slightly different Scalpel.

Have the "Yamaha favours Rossi now" rumoures popped up yet?
  12. Not enough stolen bikes are reported in the Stolen Bikes section. We need every single Hubber to list their bikes and get their mates to list their bikes as well. Then we need every single rider who's bike has been stolen to report it in the stolen bikes section. That's at least one (very effective) way to help curb the problem. Lets close some loops for these people.
  13. In other news, we will be riding one of those soon...
  14. Like a 27.5" bike with 150mm of the best travel around that is on rails Welvanpas Black, Jonkers Red, Contermans from the top, Zevenwacht's Bottelary Hill Trails. Apart from pure DH tracks there is nothing in the WC the The Following won't handle with confidence. Yes! What else are you considering to buy?
  15. Could have saved me a whole lot of typing!

  17. Here's one build with Stage racing in mind. 11.5kg as is with proper tires and wheels.

Confirmed: Lorenzo leaves Yamaha to join Ducati in 2017 http://www.motorsport.com/motogp/news/lorenzo-leaves-yamaha-to-join-ducati-in-2017-688365/
  19. Let me maybe also add this: I haven't ridden a 29er that runs a 27.5" this close in terms of handling in the twisties and overall handling. There also hasn't been a bike that I've wanted to hang on to for the rest of my life* than this one. * in Crow years!
  20. Hi Nico, Yeah Bibi answered part of your question. Cool thing is you can run a 140mm fork and sort some of the HA with the adjustable geo. Maybe it reads worse than intended: The Evil can climb - no problem with that. When I said long open sections I meant for people who ride gravel road vibes. Tokai to the mast this bike won't be the fastest as most pure XC bikes will chow it, but compared to it's peers it will most likely out-climb them. Even now I'm battling to put to words so EVERYONE will understand. Bikes are best discussed over a beer!
  21. Evil Bikes entered the short and slack 29er category with their new bike, The Following. A full carbon affair, that uses a refined version of the DELTA link suspension found on Evil's 26” Uprising, The Following has 120mm of rear travel with adjustable geometry. Click here to view the article
  22. This bike has been knocked down from R74k so there's already "value" at that price. This is a completely different beast compared to an Anthem, though. It can and will be the perfect one bike for many riders. It is a super capable trail bike that will shred with bikes twice it's size only to race XC the next day! It is not only trail "capable" - it is a proper trail bike. The Ride9 makes it an all round option.
