  1. I also was looking at buying my AMS Pro from CRC earlier this year, but eventually bought it locally for same price. Now I have the support of LBS and negotiated 2 minor services and 1 major including hubs, crank and breaks. Dunno if I will use the services as I prefer working on my bike myself.
  2. don't worry, I'm in OD - 10:02, will catch up with you and then we ride together ...bring jelly babies
  3. If you are stuck between the 2 bikes and thinking... oooh....should I get the cube or should I get the Merida....oooh....I don't know.....eish....what to do. Just get the cube. Some advice. If you thinking of buying locally then rather wait untill the 2011 models are available, they are sooo hot! the 100 now a 110 with ietsie little bit 10mm travel extra (: and improved frame and paint job! I see there are still 2010 models available on CRC for seriously crazy low prices!! I bought my cube locally 2000km ago and had no reason for taking it back except for busting the rear hub, but that was my wrong  going down breedts too fast without tightening the rear QR properly , anyway, LBS replaced the hub for free! C'mon guys, buy them cubes and let us see more of them on the trails!!!
  4. I was also stuck between the Merida and Cube. Am so happy I didn't go with the Merida. Luv my Cube, only thing missing on her is a vagina
  5. Will bad pie also work for tandem riding? can't imagine it really working for 69'ers???
  6. Heard the same rumor, apparently still legal in Ghana and Somalie land ... not to sure

  8. Yeah! Awesome trails and very well organized! Thanks Hillbilly B)
  9. Pity you are in Stellenbosch, there's a AMS Pro elixer 2010 stock clearing on the floor at Grant's for R20K, 18". Centurion
  10. Upgraded to a AMS Pro RX 3 months ago after a GT Avalanche hardtail. Love it! Already done 1000 k's, am 85kg and been rocketing down breedts a few times at speeds where everything is blurring in front of me. It's the AMS 100, so not really All Mountain, but very fast on the home run. For someone used to riding AM marathon bikes or something like a Anthem this bike might seem a bit uncomfortable in the beginning, but the XC config really askes for foot to the pedal and speeds up quickly! So far everything is still as new. I would recommend frame protection on chain stay and where cables run. Usual rules apply, clean the bike often, check pivots before serious rides and make sure they are tight. Lube and set sag. Standard bearings on all pivots. I am 1.75m and went for a Medium 18" and fitted a longer stem 120mm FSA os150.
  11. Racing Ralph on the back and Rocket Ron front. No need for UST. Just add some stan's and go go go
