I’ll start off with the fact that I am obsessed with bikes. so my question what happens to the cracked damaged and unwanted frames out there ? Do they end in the dump ? I assume so ? basicaly, obsessed with bikes obsessed with building bikes obsessed with making things out of bike parts... that would otherwise land in a skip. So look though that shed....and lemme know ????

So about 3 years ago a buddy of mine said “take my spare bike and let’s go for a ride” well since then the rest is history I’m bitten the bike bug has taken me well and proper. being the kind of guy that, builds his own everything iv been building my own bikes on number 4 now ???????? I was recently gifted a slightly damaged pinarello frame and it is in need of some bits as I can’t look at it any longer on the garage wall. it’s from the 9speed era anyone with a 9speed groupo that isn’t for sale at the price of a sram etap? ???? also I’d love to buy frames wheels etc from the good old days if you may have ? anyway all the best stay safe and enjoy the ride

yea you are probably right ! Iv dropped the price we will see what happens I want someone to get a fair deal. I’m not in the business of ripping people off.

I bought it as part of a package deal. So was unsure of what the frame component was worth. Iv listed it for 7200 on the hub. And added in some other bits to sweeten the deal. Hoping it sells ????

Hi I recently bought a fuji grand fondo disk frame set brand new from a fellow Hubber iv put probably about 800kms on it so nothing serious it’s in mint condition and I’m looking to move to gravel riding due to where I live having some insane gravel roads. what is the frame set worth is my question. As I can’t find very much info online about them. thanks in advance

I still haven’t found the frame I want to use. I really want the build to be some what special and kitted with some nice components. If anyone knows of a frame out there hiding the the rafters of someone’s shed PM me !

Thanks for all the wisdom and advice ! Definitely going to go disk. Iv seen it done with old hybrid frames with canter lever breaks but I want my build to be somewhat “trick” I still have not found the frame to work with yet. Don’t just want to use any old frame. So if anyone hears of anything PM me !

Two questions what is an A2C (I’m abit of a noobie) and where can I find a ridged fork like yours ? super rad build and is exactly what iv been thinking of doing !

Thanks for that ! I figured the hubs are different widths I’ll have to have a look around for a suitable frame to do this on. Was hoping for 32 or 35c tyres for a gravel build and breath some new life into a old MTB frame. Maybe if I use 29er rims with gravel tyres it will fit without the hub issue ?

Hi ! Is it possible that some 26inch frames will take 700c wheels ? If so how will I tell them apart from ones that can’t ? Iv heard it’s possible ?????

Yea no this is run of the mill stuff. And just the inner no outer Not jagwire it’s fine I was in a pickle and had no other option than to buy from this shop. I ordered some jagwire at 25rand a cable from evo bikes online. Just annoying that the local okes or this guy in particular isn’t interested in forming a relationship with a customer for return business. But rather make a quick double charge on a really small item. All good though. Evo bikes and dom from summet bikes online are excellent all round.

Some negative comments here always look forward to those. Light hearted question by a noobie to the sport. Building my 2nd bike and I couldn’t leave them because it was a Saturday afternoon and other stores where closed. Just found it funny that previously I had bought from the same store about 4 months ago and they where 70 for two. Maybe it’s different stock anyway they work and I went for an epic ride on my new gravel bike today. Shot for the cool responses. And to the haters ✌️

Hi I am building a Fuji gran fondo 2,5 I have bought a frame from a fellow hubber but the thru axels where not with the frame and I can’t seem to figure out what I need to buy ? All the info I can find says 12x 142 however nothing about thread pitch, and if the front and rear are the same size (I assume not ) Any advice would be hugely appreciated.
