  1. Just take the brakes off, you've already got a kid slowing you down! I can imagine it would depend on the design of the specific unit, but it should be okay.
  2. Or signals gets picked up when someone presses to open their remote controlled gate. That would actually be frikken hilarious!
  3. Only problem will be if the button gets pressed while it's in your pocket.
  4. I am so awesome! I'm going to send this to my mom to confirm that I am indeed special, just like she said I am!
  5. So am I the first official Chumba owner in the country?
  6. You overshot the singletrack again?
  7. Well, with the amount of time you normally spend picking yourself off the ground on the average ride, I don't blame him!
  8. I think that frame can handle pretty much anything, so sure thing! Bring the Shiggle, I want to feel how it behaves. Maybe HR can bring the other Chumba as well? Maybe on Sunday morning, at the park?
  9. What's happening in September? Another addition to your Harem? nope' date=' the rest of the chumbas arrive.[/quote'] You should get one! They're AWESOME!
  10. What's happening in September? Another addition to your Harem?
  11. He should really have kept his weight back.
  12. ok...but only a short ride... I'll let you ride mine if you let me ride yours!
  13. Maybe on Sunday morning, if I'm not too hungover again. How's the new ride?
  14. I wanted to get video evidence, but couldn't get my phone propped up anywhere good. To fill in the gaps: You see that pile of dirt behind the sexy bike? I jumped it!
  15. It does feel great! I'm a little worried about pretzelling my wheels, since they're a fairly light weight-weenie set. Will still be a few months before I can afford a proper set. I like taking it easy, building myself up, so I'll play around on that one for a while before I start hitting the beginner line at the bike park.
  16. I finally did it! I cleared a Dirt Jump! I've been battling to get the confidence to do Dirt Jumping for a while now. It seems illogical to just throw yourself into the air and wish for the best, especially when you have 2 perfectly capable wheels that keep you safely connected to the ground. I took the Chumba out for a spin at the bike park on Saturday, but wasn't really feeling it there, so I decided to head down the Spruit for a bit. The thing with the Chumba is the bike feels so stable that you think you can do anything with it. The high front end makes it easy to pull the front up, and the frame is very stiff which makes it super responsive. I took a few runs at the smallest of the jumps, finally cleared in on the fourth or fifth run. It felt AWESOME! I must have done another 20 runs after that before I went home. Some (crappy) pics of the jump:
  17. Ah, but you forget the most important one: practise.
