  1. Is the seal still in place, as well as the little spring thingy around it? I had the entire spring cartridge on my Trials bike pop out the other day. Still need to figure out why.
  2. Good choice! I put a pair on before last year's rain started. They prefer the ground to be soft, but they do well in all conditions.
  3. Not a clue. Not a lot of people stock them, so online searches are even a bit fruitless. I saw one site that had the 1.1 for GBP500, which isn't too bad.
  4. I don't know if I'd get a Mad Phase. Not that they're bad, but they're unknown. Then again, if the price is good, why not! Worst case scenario you'll ned to get a new frame a few months down the line.
  5. Sorry about that, I had to pick up the pizza I ordered for supper. Not nice when the pineapples are cold you know.
  6. It's a sign that you should sell the road bike and ride more MTB! Seriously though, they're cable brakes. How difficult can it possibly be?
  7. Turn it the other way.
  8. I'm in Bryanston, Groenkloof is a 45 minute drive, max. I'm sure I've done it in 30. We have a birthday get-together on Saturday night, so I'm sure we'll be too hungover to join. If we're still half-alive we'll make a plan.
  9. you just reminded me of someone we haven't heard from in a bit. pocketbikes. do you have his number' date=' perchance?[/quote'] I'll need to look for it, sure I have it somewhere.
  10. Last time I did one of those rides: 1. I destroyed a rear derailleur 2. Destroyed a suspension fork 3. Got abandoned Count me in!
  11. It's so you can drain the drool from the seat tube after you've drooled all over the frame.
  12. Ah, okay, anodised! That explains why it looks so awesome!
  13. That. Is. AWESOME! Needs decent tyres, then we can take them to the bike park
  14. Looking good Brad! How did Helderkruin go?
  15. The pics don't really do the blue one justice. It has a matt finish which just looks awesome!
  16. Assuming you're lucky enough to get an invite...
  17. You've just lost any credibility you may have had.
  18. I had the idea of doing a 2x1 setup for the Trials bike, but I'll need special adapters to make it work. No way I'll be able to run a 20 and a 24 tooth at the same time with a standard setup.
  19. I want to do a little experiment on the Trials bike. Is there's anything smaller than a 22T chainring? Maybe a 18T or 20T? I've got the older Shimano LX cranks, not sure if that would make a difference.
  20. We have a winner! Not sure if insurance will cover blowing up your own bike, but it'll be worth it!
