  1. but the new Sram XX groupset only has 20 speeds And still there are people that will pay big money for it.
  2. Seems like a pretty good price. Go for it! If I had the cash lying around I'd take a pair as well for the trials bike.
  3. They're about 22 pounds on Tartybikes, which comes to roughly R300. I think locally anything below R350 is very good. What can you get them for?
  4. They are pretty legendary in the Trials scene, very strong and sorta light. Should handle most things you do to them, if built well.
  5. I'm hoping mine takes a bit longer, I still haven't finished the first one! (Okay, I'm a lazy reader)
  6. Oh that' date=' made a nice paper plane and then ended life as toilet paper whilst I read my (your) shiny new Tread on the throne.[/quote'] Cool, don't worry about it. Since I bought this place that's how all my bills end up. Especially since I can't afford 2-ply any more.
  7. I think I need to have a serious chat with the people at Postnet. They're letting trees overgrow the postboxes and they're giving my mail away! Did you get bond statement as well? Mind paying it?
  8. Done! Same time tomorrow?
  9. Okay, I'm too lazy to leave the house. 20 bucks for the person that goes to check my mailbox!
  10. I think the gap at your crash site is much bigger than the gap at HR's crash site. You just managed to fall on your head. You know, I do have a skills clinic coming up...
  11. I also remember you smiling at the clubhouse, despite the blood running down your face.
  12. Now that you mention it, the little punk does climb like a goat...
  13. Just came back from a ride at the park. Rode with a youngster who pretty much lives there, think his name is Luka, he's about 12 or so. I can't remember when last I had so much fun on the bike! The thing about riding with a kid is that you start riding like a kid. You jump over everything, ride stuff you normally wouldn't at speeds you normally wouldn't and generally wreak havoc on the trails. As adults we learn that there are rules and restrictions and we learn to live within these. We also don't heal as fast so we tend to be a bit more careful. Today I saw new lines in the park that I would never have thought of. Jumping from the wooden bridge into the tunnel, jumping down the drops, etc. The creativity that kids see in the normal stuff is amazing. I understand now why there's always crap all over the Trials course when we get there - the kids see it differently. So, here's my advice. When you go on your next ride, slow it down a bit. Look around, and look for those things you normally wouldn't do. Is there a jump you can do? A log you can balance on? A wallride you can hit? Then DO IT! Stop thinking about it and start having fun! You'll feel like a kid again, and you'll probably come home like a kid as well, full of dirt, mud and scratches, but with a huge smile on your face. Isn't that what MTBing is about?
  14. Sounds like a great frame! I've been having serious GAS for some On-One stuff lately...
  15. Show Off Nah, I'm married now, if I get 12 hours a month I'm happy.
  16. I like! It reminds me of the silver Joe Satriani guitars.
  17. Bryanston, JHB.
  18. That's such an awesome photo! I won't be trying that drop-in any time soon though.
  19. So quit!
  20. UPDATE: Clinic details here: https://www.bikehub.co.za/forum_posts.asp?TID=54937
  21. Looks good! White hubs will really complete the look.
