  1. Good evening, wise council... Please could anyone with solid experience recommend great tattooist(s) in Port Elizabeth I am going to complete both arms later this year. The left will be Irezumi, the right largely a geometric blackout design. My sincere thanks for any and all assistance. Have an great evening. PM me if that is more convenient. Cheers, Brett
  2. Been a looong time.... Still have my two Cotics, have tried to sell them, but they are a part of me now, lol! Red X is was repainted by me and logo painted on - not very well, but I learned a lot. Still the best bikes I've owned.
  3. Hi, good people. Any pointers on what's available route-wise near CSF/Ct Francis Bay? I do the local loop a lot, have done Wildside, Oyster bay road, Paradise beach road etc... Any routes I don't know about? Struggling to find a solid higher mileage option. Don't mind travelling a bit, so any pointers would be much appreciated!! Dankie baie!!
  4. Been a long time since I posted anywhere on the Hub, but here you go.... My fine steed has some new plus shoes.... Solaris XL, Scraper 45 rims, 2.8 trailblazers, Surly Krampus Ops fork. Just need to trim the steerer, and we're away! She's a fine beast indeed.
  5. RIP, Barry. I, too, have not been on The Hub (can't shake that habit - sorry) for a long time, but this brought me back after a heads-up by RyanPmb. I always appreciated the unsolicited, yet incredibly helpful, supportive and heartfelt PMs during a bad patch I had a few years ago. The world is poorer for his passing. Heartfelt condolences to all his friends and family.
  6. I remember the then owner of said nationwide franchise chatting about this meeting on a certain cycling-related programme, saying it was just a discussion etc. I remember being somewhat discomfited at the time,
  7. The answer to that is easy: ALL OF THEM. No way those fat, bloated, entitled varkies are going to miss an opportunity to spend money that could be used for athlete development.
  8. That fork is a winner!
  9. Sexy bike, that.
  10. Amazing!!! it looked like the dog was slowing down sometimes... RIP, dude.
  11. Be a tough guy and just use a car sun screen (the silver one) instead of a ground pad...
  12. I've seen them in the flesh and the quality seems very good. I will take one with the modification we discussed, please... Drop by the shop if you need a deposit or such. Thanks a lot.
  13. Ryan's covered that before: On One rate it for 100mm, but trust me, it wont be a problem to run 120mm
  14. I get bleak when you guys are discussing routes etc and I am stuck at work.... Please stop.
  15. Let's face it - we all think our own bikes are the coolest..
  16. I had some Gen 1 (pre-offset wrap) decals made. see my earlier post. I have several of the larger decals if you want a set. will just cost you postage.
  17. I'm with Sepia. This sort of thing needs to be grown until it becomes a culture. The events they have in the States are evidence of the possibilities. I'm not talking about racing, per se, just riding. The recent Grinduro, the Salsa Ride Camps organized touring on publicly accessible routes. Bikepacking.com has a travelogue on it where the two protagonists travelled through South Africa and a few more Southern African countries. Frikking amazing scenery. What's not to like?
  18. Right outside my place of work...
  19. My dealings with them have always been solid. Prompt delivery. Was a while ago now, but I can't fault them, really.
  20. Ja - I was a kid at the time. I think they caught the head honcho with a boot full of cash at the end of it all.
  21. You're in Ptn - give Mark a go. He really is very good.
  22. Mark built my Flows - great job, still going strong. Tony is as good as Mark - no mistake - if you don't want to go out to Pinetown.
