  3. Amen to that, brother Eldron! Alex rims are shite.
  4. I hope Basso challenges. I've always liked him, and hope he comes good again.
  5. Cool! Only problem then is that Phil and Paul commentate...
  6. Watched some of it last year - was actually very cool to watch. The high altitude seems to affect different riders in different ways - makes for interesting racing. Colombians are always on the attack in this race.
  7. Soldering will not make your wheel stronger. Been there, done that - threw away the crappy rims. You have quality rims, so you should be fine.
  8. That was too funny!Loved the part about Australia forcing coke to air an anti-campaign!! Priceless!! P.S. Do we all still feel so warm and fuzzy inside when we buy overpriced stuff from Woollies?
  9. Thanks - will post when I have had it done. I thought it interesting that the seat tube extends a bit further than normal out of the cluster. The frame is 56cm c to c, but looks quite a bit smaller to the naked eye, I thought. This looks an out and out racing frame - clearance is tight, even for 23mm tyre. Could be a nervy ride. I'll decide what to do over the next few weeks. Cheers
  10. The Bronson is freakin' gorgeous! An object of desire, for sure!
  11. Giant is not cycling. Giant is a part of cycling. Just sayin'
  12. Hi, all Anyone have any info on a bicycle named "Gemini"? I purchased the frame with an old style unthreaded 1" Time carbon fork. The info I have manage to gather places it as an Australian/New Zealand marque, and they no longer make frames. It had an 853 sticker on it, but was not covered in clearcoat, so perhaps a giveaway that it was put on afterward. It has lugwork arund the BB and headtube, but seems to be fillet-brazed at the seat-tube. Dropouts are Columbus, so I assumed that there would probably not be Reynolds Tubing with Columbus dropouts, although this is not impossible. I may be refurbishing it at some stage, so need info to get proper declas etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  13. I haven't had a problem on the hub yet - buying or selling. Having said that, second-hand carbon scares me, and if something(anything) looks too good, I stay away.
  14. MDS-Collivery also very good. Excellent tracking capabilities.
  15. watched this on cycleexif - was inspiring, to say the least!
  16. i wouldn't - may buckle your rim beyond repair.

  20. What bodyfat percentages do these guys maintain? Holy cow!
  21. The Vuelta.....
  22. I believe in him. I would dispute that he is so much better than anyone else that he must be doping. Maybe he has more courage and dedication that the others. I think his samples will be kept and periodically tested, and I think they will continue to show nothing.
  23. I love the Raleigh USA product. Record Ace is cool XX1X is cool Their CX bikes are cool The new gravel grinder bikes are cool. Wish this type of product was widely available here.
