  2. I was thinking that with half of those pics.
  3. hahahahaha, haven't laughed as much as that since I saw that 4 rider crash in Chatel.
  4. new toy, arrived yesterday. still need to figure out the optimal settings. Have tried HDR enabled with +1/3 exposure, which seemed to work pretty well. However the handlebar mount flopped all over the place. This morning, tightened things up and worked better, but the video is very jumpy. Going to try enable image stabilization before the next ride. Also, something that I've been wanting to do for ages: my first custom build. Picked this up from a hubber on Wednesday evening. start with a new paint job and then start slowly building up an SS.
  5. very naais.
  6. Very cool idea. My route: Lanseria to Sandton (MTB), via Chartwell, Fourways and then Spruit, to arrive in Sandton by 9 (can do earlier).
  7. Paint ftw. Things every kid on an MS PC the 90's did: Bucket filled this with rainbow colours
  8. U reckon that pic has been photoshopped!
  9. LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- They've got their helmets, they've got their lanes and soon California bicyclists will have another form of protection from drivers: a buffer zone. "Motorists are required to give bicyclists three feet whenever they're passing," CHP Officer Edgar Figueroa said. Starting Sept. 16, that's how much room a driver must keep between his vehicle and a bicyclist. It's called the "Three Feet for Safety" law, something cycling advocates like Wes Reutimann, President of the Pasadena Athletic Association, were pushing hard for. 10. Queens on the 52. Ladies and teens on the 22
  11. anyone have a road bike i can borrow? *edit* and indemnity forms for it too.
  12. Reminds me of this
  13. Maybe it's time for a floating bridge.
  14. If it's the same one, then it would be VERY dodgy. OP in that other thread: August 15. This one September 7.
  15. Unless the KOM is around.
  16. He was huffing and puffing too much to call "LINE"
  17. In hindsight, this was the best piece of advice here. I opted for NF for the scenery, after checking out the routes on Strava and reckoned the 12km red route would be a good one. took 2 extra little loops which turned into a 15km ride (by accident / lack of familiarity), and the last 3km's were not enjoyable at all for him. But the first part he thoroughly enjoyed.
  18. He plays golf. I'm sure even a road ride would be exhilarating
  19. A mate of mine got an mtb on Friday and we're taking him for a short leg stretcher tomorrow. My first mtb ride was on the spruit and was a great start so wanted to do the same for my mate. Nf has also been suggested though. I've never ridden there. Is it a good place to start? Short, non technical routes for a first ride.
  20. i'm guessing yours is about 5cm lower than mine (although it's based on inner leg length, and not overall height)
  21. im 184 on a medium, seatpost is at max, but have tried large and they feel slightly bulkier / less nimble.
  22. unless there's comms involved.....
  23. That little bridge by Devonshire? Road the spruit this weekend for the first time in many moons and see it's been rebuilt. Smooth concrete ramp on and off that bridge. My missus face planted it before the upgrade, no more comedy shows there any more
