  1. would be keen to see some monster footage too
  2. I started riding it. an oke walking it in front of me decided to apply front brakes. bike sorta endo'd, and then the tail swung 90 degrees, directly into my line. Too much momentum to stop, but managed to evade with only minor knee scraping. Am thankful to the MTB-gods that have saved me from any serious injury on numerous occasions.
  3. I think they'd get better shots on that first rocky descent....
  4. i think i might convert my trek to SS..... gonna take a few months to build it though. Jigghead, you gonna climb back on in the next couple of weeks?
  5. Just came across this... http://citymob.co.za...RYSIDE CROCKERY
  6. static electricity.. same concept as a van der graaf generator - free electrons can loosely attach to the rubber surface of tyres and fly onto the bike, building up charge. the more static builds up, the further distance its able to jump to discharge - e.g. piece of damp grass against your leg and you touch handlebars. same reason you get shocked wearing rubber shoes on carpets (happens better in winter cos of dry air).
  7. https://fbcdn-sphotos-e-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/1586_531782186858485_636923987_n.jpg

  10. Very well organized event. SMS shortly after finishing, confirming times was great, good job on the timing Live Time. My 2 sons rode their first event, the 10km (6 & 7 yrs old) and they had an awesome time riding it alone. The missus also had her first, doing the 20km. No issues and good routes.
