  10. Seems they not the only team that could be riding a new brand.....and of course Barloworld who can't ride the same brand for more than a year. New team for Sastre and Gerolsteiners? Will Team Gerolsteiner be "reborn" as a new team under the management of Gerolsteiner's Christian Henn? That is the latest rumour making the rounds, which also puts Canadian bicycle manufacturer Cervelo as title sponsor for this new squad which is reportedly to be registered in Switzerland. According to Tuttobiciweb.it, the team could include Tour de France champion Carlos Sastre, who has yet to renew his contract with the CSC team. Sastre, whose contract with Team CSC expires the end of this year, recently issued a statement noting that he is bound to CSC through the end of this year and at the moment wants to concentrate his attention on the upcoming Vuelta a Espa?a. He did not address the question of where he will ride next year, leaving it open for speculation. CSC-Saxo Bank manager Bjarne Riis said after the Tour de France that he would do everything he could to keep Sastre on his team. The Gerolsteiner team has been actively seeking a replacement title sponsor after it learned that the bottled water company would not be renewing its support in September, 2007. Manager Hans-Michael Holczer has said that he is not optimistic of finding a replacement. Henn, 44, rode for Team Telekom from 1989 to 1999. He went to Team Gerolsteiner as a Directeur Sportif and he is now assistant team manager and Sport Director. Reports also link current Gerolsteiner riders Stefan Schumacher and Bernhard Kohl with the potential new squad. Kohl, who finished third in the Tour de France, has told Quick Step that he is not interested in signing with them, according to Het Nieuwsblad. The Belgian paper further added that the Austrian has offers from Silence-Lotto, Milram, Columbia and Milram, but that he is delaying his decision to see if there will be a continuation of or follow-up team to Gerolsteiner. 11. This makes two current big teams(Rabobank and Milram) that won't be riding Colnago's in 2009. Wonder whats up ?
  12. The Dutch team Rabobank will ride Giant bicycles next year, ending its long term relationship with Colnago, according to a press release from the bike maker. A company spokesman could not say if Giant will continue as bike sponsor of U.S.-based Team Columbia. "Giant?s current sponsorship agreement with Team Columbia remains active through the end of 2008," Giant's Andrew Juskaitis said. "Giant is currently evaluating its sports marketing programs for 2009, including its future sponsorship of Team Columbia." A Team Columbia spokesman was not immediately available to comment on the news. Rabobank, which includes three-time World Champion Oscar Freire, two-time Vuelta a Espa?a winner Denis Menchov and current Cyclocross World Champion Lars Boom, has signed a two-year agreement with the Taiwanese bike maker. The agreement covers three separate teams ? the elite international road team, an Under-23 developmental team and a professional cyclocross team. Rabobank, a Netherlands-based global bank, has been the team?s title sponsor since 1996. ?We?re pleased Rabobank has chosen to ride Giant,? said Tony Lo, chief executive officer of Giant. ?It?s a natural fit ? two organizations with a long-term commitment to competitive cycling. Combine Rabobank?s talent with Giant?s ability to create superior products, and great things are sure to happen.? Rabobank team bikes will be equipped with Shimano components. The agreement goes into effect January 1, 2009.

  19. Why you want to change your free wheelbody on you 7's??? Surely you not planning on training with a RED casette ? Sram Force casette would be fine , and will work on a 9spd Shimano body! Or If You already have a Campag body ,then just use a Chorus or Centur casette for training.
  20. I Agree with you Mr LOOK!!!! Super J . Do your homework before you make stupid statements like that!!!
